browser / operating system: ChromeOS 11151.59.0, Chrome 71.0.3578.94, No Flash version detected

I know there are lots of complaints about 3.0, but don't get this confused with one. I love 3.0! The problem is… I can't use the editor. The way it looks is distracting my eyes (don't get me wrong, i love the new look!) and the having to scroll to see other parts of the editor is messing me up. The change in how lines work isn't compatible with my train of action, but i really don't want scratch 2.0 back. I love the eraser, new blocks, and design of everything, but i can't work with the editor. I know you aren't going to change it because of me, so don't think i'm not aware. I would have just downloaded the offline editor, but i have a chromebook so its not compatible with it. Please understand that this is not a complaint about 3.0, its me reaching out for assistance on what i should do now. Some answers i think might show up are listed below, with reasons why it can't be.

I'm sorry, but that won't work. I can't buy a new computer because i am not wealthy enough to buy my own things. I actually use my older brother's computer that will be given to me when he buys a new one.

I'm going to be honest, a very VERY small amount of people actually know what they're doing in 3.0 myself included.

Quick question, does your editor look like this: or is it larger?

my editor is larger. the canvas takes up that whole white space, and the spot for sprites is smaller. the top bar still looks the same though.

Could you say more about what's feeling difficult about it? Is there a sequence of actions you could describe that we could replicate, where we could see what's harder in this version for you?

It's not set in stone – we've very much interested in continuing to explore the user interface.

You could try zooming out your page, or chose a different zoom level on your Chromebook.
(It actually looks big on my Chromebook too. It's not as zoomed as yours, but it still is.)

It's not a glitch. The people that have the small canvas have a different screen resolution. You have the screen resolution that's best for 3.0 - I have the same one.
