I want to change my username cos this is my alt account since my other account got blocked for some reason. And I want to change my name to something related to my other account. I will use this more And until then I have to wait 3 days…

If one of your accounts was blocked, using an alt to get around the block constitutes ban evasion, which can lead to an extension of the block. I recommend that you immediately stop using all of your Scratch accounts and contact the Scratch Team to get the block resolved before you use Scratch again. Make sure you are civil and kind when you ask your questions, and your block will probably be resolved fairly quickly.

The Scratch ‘team’ said that it ‘puts strain on the servers’ and ‘causes confusion to the community’ so that's why you can't.

Not annoying. On my old account, I wanted to change the name since I had 100 followers but now I'm glad I just made a new account because I had 100+ projects on there with nothing at all.

You can't change your username unless it is inappropriate or contains personal information, in which case you can use Contact Us to get it changed.
