Why can't i slow down the music?

Ok, press the slower button, nothing happens so then use the developer tools on my project and look at the errors, it should say gui Encountered error while trying to encode sound update: Sound too large to save, refusing to edit. Link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/408153922/editor/

Unfortunately, if a sound is too large you aren't allowed to edit it. If you really want to edit the music I would recommend either editing it with a separate app or chopping the music into smaller pieces that can be edited.

I believe that lowering the pitch of the sound (with code) will slow it down as well

I understand about indecision

In software development, deleting, it's just a concept. Some software might have a delete button and when you click it a thing disappears, but it's not really gone. Okay, it's not gone from the memory.

I'm going to close this suggestion as it is technically implemented and rejected at the same time.

You might separate the the sound into multiple sounds by using the Copy to New button and slow all the sounds. Then you can paste them into a single sound.

Why can't i slow down the music?

You don't need to play multiple sounds. You can just copy the second sound and paste it into the first one.
