Invert colors button

Although this is only a minor suggestion, I think that there should be an invert colors button in the costume section of sprites, it would invert the colors of the costume and would allow people to use opposite colors of their original sprite, this would be useful for special effects in animation projects. The colors would be the same as if the user's computer was set to “High contrast mode” or G Major colors. The button would only apply to the costume it is used on.

I mean, I like this suggestion and want to add:

change [negative v] effect by (1)
set [negative v] effect to (0)

to the block section.

Oh yeah, like a block for that, but since it a bit too much like color, there would be a simple invert colors block

No, this would be like an invert color effect that applies permanently to the costume, not just an effect that happens after the green flag is clicked, also please don't necropost

This is a suggestion, which is something that someone wants to be added to scratch, but not something that has been added to scratch.

I do agree with you! But not as the main block; this would be a great boolean, and I think it should look like this:

<Colors Inverted? :: looks> // true

and as for the block itself I think it should look like this:

Invert Colors :: looks

There would only be one block, and having the block repeat itself would act like a toggle between inverted and not inverted colors.

I wouldn't mind if “negative” were used instead of inverted, but I think inverted fits better with these blocks and with Scratch.

Setting the colour to 100 will invert the colour of the thing that you want to invert. The parts that aren't in colour (Black, white and anywhere in between) would not change to the negative version of themselves. (you can see the opposite colour of something in mspaint if you right click then click on the option that says “Invert color”.)
