One of the good things to keep in mind about suggesting stuff for Scratch is by looking at our design goals. One of the things Scratch should have is “wide walls” — in other words, Scratch should be used to make all kinds of things, including games, animations, tutorials, music, and lots of other kinds of projects. The suggestions being made would ideally have this idea in mind.

I believe what DataLabGames is saying when they say “Wide walls doesn't exist here” is that a TAS editor isn't very useful outside of speed-running in games. In particular, how would a TAS editor be useful for animation projects, or tutorial projects, or music projects?

if it was a interactable animation, tutorial, or music project then it could have some use. all of the categories in TASvideos is in the list http://tasvideos.org/Movies.html go click on Movies by category to see them. The TAS Editor does not have to be used specifically for speedrunning.

Why would you speedrun an interactive tutorial? Or anything other than a game, really?

Well, you're simply wrong.
I'm certain that under 97% of scratch users are even active.
I'm also certain that the number of people who would use this feature is under 1%. There are like, what? 50 accounts devoted to speed running on Scratch, and about 50 million accounts total.

under 1% if it is, i would recommend making all of the scratchers in this website watch a video that explains TAS to make the Scratch TAS community grow. they can do stuff they do normally after that.

And it would still be under 1%. It's far under 1% now. And you can't force people to watch a video. If people are forced to watch the video before accessing their account or something, then they'll actively dislike the feature instead of being neutral.

No support, that seems to be quite specific for games. The suggestions should be useful for all types of projects.

you can use the TAS Editor for interactable animations, or anything else like that, (that's not games) now support? It'd be so cool, and the Scratch TAS communuity is way way way too small, to be recognized, so let's grow the Scratch TAS community, to it's limits! spread the message!

that's not true, a TASvideos member might come here, like the idea, and document it on the TASvideos, fourms. + i'm serious, and i mean it, it's underrated.

“You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.”

You can give all the tools in the world, but some people will still not be interested in TASes. To me, it sounds like the most boring waste of time of making a computer play something for you than just playing it yourself. There are programs readily available for my Super Nintendo emulator that will make the game play itself, but I'd rather play it myself.

Likewise, there are art programs everywhere, and yet not everyone is an artist, which is already an extremely broad subject on its own. Every modern computer comes with a word processor, but only a few are authors. Simply providing the tools isn't enough. You need to somehow convince everyone to do your very silly hobby, and all I can say is, good luck.

The Scratch team should call most TASvideos members to convince scratchers that TAS is a cool thing

didn't think of that, other ways to convince scratchers to use the TAS Editor?
