What is the Scratch OS Alliance?
The Scratch OS Alliance is an Alliance of Scratchers that make operating systems. Everyone in the alliance has to pledge to help each other and make sure that everyone's operating systems get the love and appreciation they deserve.

Me (rainos) I've been on Scratch more than 3 years (2 1/2 on this account) and my original reason to do Scratch was to make an operating system!

If you need help with an operating system go online to find graphics and then remix another one you like and add the graphics or anything else you want!

I think it is flattering for people to use stuff from your OS. That is the entire point of Scratch, to be able to use and share and create new things, and let others make them even better. Scratch is all open source.

Agreed!

The only issues I have with this is:

• You take the time and effort to make an OS and someone just copies it and gets credit
  

• The remixer doesn't learn how to make an OS by doing this (one of the main concepts of scratch, Imagine and Program
  

Otherwise, I don't mind remixing if, for example, they add a new app or make parts of the os better by re-scripting it

This is just my opinion though
