The Colour Shop's Review

First Impression: 7.5/10

The second I saw your title, I knew - Hey, the founder must be British! Perhaps it's because I'm American that it stood out. Now, that doesn't really affect my perception of your shop, but I thought I might include it anyways. :) The next thing I noticed was your banner, and how it contrasts with the title:

It definitely stands out with the lightning bolts on the ends, although something that's really bugging me is the subtext: Getting all your orders done in the flash colour. It doesn't make sense to me, although Getting Your Orders Done In The Flash Of A Color, like it says on the banner, does. Also, the banner is awesome! It's got a variety of colors, and the fonts really fit well with it. Nice job! However, another thing that bothers me just a bit is ‘We want to fill you life’s with colour'. Changing it to ‘We want to fill your life with color’ would be a minor change that could improve a customers first opinion of your shop exponentially.

Right off the bat, your directory jumps out at me. It's helpful (and every link works!) which is great, however there are a few posts which aren't linked, making it harder for a customer to find them. Still, they all convey a variety of helpful information. I especially like the news and history tabs! However, the UOC is nonexistent (at least to the directory) which is a little frustrating.

Bulletin Board Code: 8.5/10

You have a decently good knowledge of BB code, however I'd suggest spicing up your posts by adding color. The lack of it is really surprising, especially for a shop named after color! Still, while the posts look nice, I'd say it would definitely be a big improvement all around.

Product: 5.5/10

I was a bit disappointed with my set of aesthetics. While they looked nice and definitely fit my specifications, the image selected was stretched out to fit rather than picking a different one or resizing it in some way to keep the aspect ratio. There's also a lot of extra white space at the far right edge, which just doesn't fit well. However, I do admit that I've never made any aesthetics before, so I don't know a lot of things that go into the creation process. Still, I know the staff member who took my order tried their best, so thank you!

Speed: 9/10

My order was taken in about two hours, and then completed in a day and a half. That's quite good, so thank you!

Customer Service: 10/10

I almost never have problems here, and your shop did very well! Staff were kind and friendly, and made sure to let me know when my order was taken and when it was completed.

Staff: 8.5/10

You seem to have a lot of staff, so I'd say you've met your goal of expanding. Congrats and good work! You also have a designated BoD, which is great because you can divide up certain responsibilities to make managing your shop easier. You also have a large amount of variety in the things your staff can do. However, it's rather frustrating not to have the products for sale listed somewhere where it's easier to tell what's offered here. Also, you ask for experience and work examples when looking to hire, which is great as it allows you to ensure you pick people who match your shop's standard!

Productivity: 10/10

I test this in two ways: OPP and SI. OPP stands for Orders Per Page, and SI for Spam Index. Your OPP score is 1.25, with 6 orders completed in the last 4.8 pages. Nice job, that's quite good! Your SI score is 0.05, with 96 posts and 5 spam posts. That's phenomenal! This measure directly relates to the percentage of spam out of all posts. This includes bumps! Also, I am only considering pages 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

Partnerships: 9/10

Your seven partners seem to all offer a variety of products, which is great! However, I would suggest maybe listing some of these things below their banners. Also, evaluate any benefits you get/give right now, and see how you can improve that! What else can you contribute to this relationship?

Shop Environment: 9.5/10

This shop has a great environment! Everyone is kind, and there are a lot of constructive discussions. It seems like a wonderful place to work at or order from.

Final Impression: 85.5/100 - A

The Colour Shop is absolutely an amazing shop! For one only a few months old, you take a lot of orders. Your staff are also wonderful. Keep up the good work!
