Car Stuff!

Hello, random person who happens to be reading this post. Here, we will be (hopefully) talking about cars and car culture. I'm using the word “hopefully” because in this topic's predecessor, everyone was posting irrelevant stuff, in such a degree that I had to leave. So, enjoy yourself in here (and don't post irrelevant posts. Thank you).

First Question: What's your favourite dream car and why?

1967 Ford Mustang Fastback (aka 2+2). Its just awesome. But the real reason is that it looks gorgeous. Its one of the best-looking cars, ever (well, in my opinion THE best). Also, it was fitted with the greatest engine of its time: Ford GT40 V8. My second most desired car is Porsche 911 from 70s. Thats basically what happens when my father interests (he was a great Porsche mechanic) collaborate with mine (I have a love for classic cars).

Good choice. Also it was cast in Bullitt so in my opinion, it's best in green. Also, yes the 911 was a great car, although quite unstable at corners because it's rear-engined. Both are great choices though.

So… other than the Miata (it's totally 100% The Best Car Ever - not sarcasm), I think that the Lamborghini Countach is pretty darn awesome… it's got great looks, very 80's looking, especially the Countach Ultimate with all those extra stuff… Visibility (or rather, lack of it ) is a problem but really, who cares? Anyway, would also choose the old Cosmo Sport, very beautiful, very fast car, the first Mazda Rotary. Alloy wheels were nice-looking too.

P.S.: As car guys, we care mostly about specs, specs, specs, data, data, data but judging a car based (mostly) on its looks is a thing, right?

Thats true. Personally I prefer Mustang in red, with two red stripes.

Red with red stripes? That's kinda weird. Your choice though.

This is something I would have commented on a Mach-E article on Motor1.com, but then I was like “never mind” so here's the text…

The new Mach E certainly is NOT a real Mustang, since it can't do anything like the previous REAL Mustangs could. The Mustang has always been an enthusiast car, and enthusiasts bought it, so I guess nobody can expect good sales. Unless something like what happened with the Probe occurs, at least.

The 2008 model in silver with bloo stripes looks epic and it's got one of the best V8's in existence. Also, Ford's design team really nailed it with the retro inspired styling. As for older ones, they were the birth of the Mustang as we know it (for the time being at least). In the beginning, the Mustang only had an I6 engine but Carroll Shelby was like: “Let's put a V8 in it!” That was the birth of the Mustang. (no comment on the Mustang II “KiNg CoBrA” though)

I was thinking more of the '68 GT500KR. What a legend

Ummm… I'm looking to get a Need For Speed game, any ideas? My criteria are
  • It's gotta have a Miata
It's gotta have a manual mode
It's gotta be cheap coz I don't care about spending too much on it

I guess 2015, or The Run, but I don't know if The Run has a manual mode
