Hello! I know many people in this shop have multiple ideas, and I can't sit making separate polls for everything, so I decided to make a Poll Jumble in which I jumble up some polls and people get to vote everything. Customers/non-workers may also vote if they wish, but it isn't necessary.

NOTE: Any new ideas will be included in the Poll Jumble except for the elections and very important polls, so we're going to have to make a pretty big change to the Suggestion Guidelines.

By the way, I am right now making the sound guide. I made a new, organized format, and it works really well, I think. I can't wait for you to see it!

All about Sound blocks

Intro
The sound blocks are very powerful. They can be used to create music, sound effects, and more for your project.

There are 3 tabs in the Scratch Editor, code, sounds, and costumes. The sounds tab is the tab where you can import, edit, etc. sounds and music. When sounds are added to this tab, you can play the sounds using the sound blocks in the code of your project.

Playing and Stopping Sounds

play sound [meow v] until done

This is the first block in the sound section. It does as the name implies, it plays a sound and doesn't run any code below the block until the sound is finished playing. Here is an example:

when green flag clicked
play sound [meow v] until done
switch costume to [costume2 v]

If you were to run that code, the sound “meow” would be played, and when that sound is finished playing, the sprite's costume will change.

play sound [meow v]

This block is similar to the last block, except the code underneath the block runs without having the sound to be over. For example:

when green flag clicked
play sound [meow v] 
switch costume to [costume2 v]

With this code, the sound plays the same frame as the costume changes. Both blocks run at the same time.

stop all sounds

This block simply stop all sounds. This includes all sounds currently playing in the backdrop and all sprites.

Sound Effects
In Scratch 3.0, new blocks were added that add effects to sounds playing to manipulate them. These blocks only effect sounds that are in the same sprite or backdrop as the block. So, if in Sprite 1 code runs that adds a pitch effect, only sounds in Sprite 1 will be effected by the pitch change.

change [pitch v] effect by [#] :: sound

change [pan left/right v] effect by [#] :: sound

set [pitch v] effect to [#] :: sound

set [pan left/right v] effect to [#] :: sound

The pitch blocks simply change the pitch of the sound playing in the same sprite/backdrop. The maximum pitch is 360, and the minimum pitch is -360. Because if those limits, it is impossible to completely pause music and sounds, however you can get very close to it by using the code below (Please note that the code is an original system by @xXRedTheCoderXx, please give credit when used):

define Pause Sounds
set volume to (0) %
set [pitch v] effect to (((1) / (0)) * (-1)) :: sound

define Resume Sounds
set volume to (100) %
set [pitch v] effect to [0] :: sound

The pan left/right blocks typically only make you hear a difference when wearing headphones or earbuds. Set “pan left/right” to 0 for sound to come out of both sides of the headphones, set it to a positive number for more sound to come out on the right side, and set it to a negative number for more sound to come out on the left side of the headphones. The maximum is 100, meaning all sound goes to the right, and the minimum is -100, meaning all sound goes to the left.

Volume
The volume blocks are fairly simple.

change volume by [#]

set volume to [#] %

These blocks change the volume of all sounds playing in a single sprite or backdrop. The maximum and default volume is 100%, and the minimum is 0%.
