I have been trying to add a second sprite to my project and so far have been unsuccessful. I want to add it in after three background changes but every time I add it in it comes up from the start. How do I get it to wait until the third backdrop to show up.. Any help/advice greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to Scratch! You can do something like this on the sprite using the show and hide blocks:

To add a second sprite, just click the paintbrush or the little picture of Giga at the top right corner of the sprite window where you can click on your sprite and the background,

If you want to import the sprite, click the folder icon. If you want to take the sprite with the webcam, click the camera icon.
