The Abusir Trail: An Oregon Trail-style game set in Ancient Egypt
I'm working on a game called The Abusir Trail, which is going to be a lot like The Oregon Trail, except it will be set in the Middle Kingdom era of Egypt. You'll play as one of four travelers as they attempt to go from Alexandria to Memphis in order to find employ at the temples of Ra being built in Abusir, the town of temples.
The travelers will be 1. Veronocles the Hoplite, a Greek spear wielding fighter. 2. Abbas the Farmer Merchant, a well off grain farmer 3. Hypsotoph the Lutenist, an upbeat musician 4. Gilutankhet the Priestess, a powerful mage
Right now I'm working on all of the art assets for it, but I want it to be a very pretty game entirely in the style of hieroglyphic art. It will have a mixture of 2D and 3D art. Gameplay will be split between visiting towns to trade, traveling across desert, plain, and river, and engaging in minigames based on the character you select. For instance, Veronocles will be more likely to encounter a fighting minigame to defend himself or plunder treasure. Abbas will encounter a trading minigame, Hypsotoph will play her harp, and Gilutankhet will perform magic rituals.
I expect to have this done in perhaps a month or two, but here are the first two characters I made, Hypsotoph and Gilutanket:

Wow, I love this idea! However, would this be counted as advertising? If it is, you could always put it in the Show and Tell part of the Forums. I think it will be a great game! ^^

Oh, sorry, I guess it would be. My aim was to share the project idea more than to really advertise it, especially since it's in the idea phase and nowhere near complete. Should I move it, then?

Should be fine where it is - as this seems to be more about a project idea (which, by the way looks super cool), rather than advertising. Oh, sorry, I guess it would be. Of course, when you're finished making the project, you're more than welcome to advertise it in the Show and Tell forum.
