A Better Look at the Community Guidelines
Introduction
I've been noticing people complaining about the Community Guidelines. Some people think they're not fair and not very explanatory. This is why I created this post.
1.Be Respectful
Advertising - Advertising can make your projects popular. However, it isn't nice to do so on other people's projects. This could draw attention to your project instead of the original project, but it is okay to do so on the Show & Tell section on the forums.
Unkind & Disrespectful Comments - You might find a project that is “bad”, but how would you feel if you got an unkind project saying your project was terrible? You probably would feel sad, right? That's why this is against the rules.
Not Giving Credit or “Stealing” Projects - Not giving credit is like stealing something. It's like finding this famous art and sticking it in your backpack and acting like you made it. This is why it's against the rules. It's also against the rules to tell someone they can't use your art or remix your project. See rule 3# for more information.
Cyberbullying - It’s not okay to post abusive projects and comments on Scratch. If harassment crosses the line into a malicious attack it can be reported and may be removed.
Don’t Discriminate Others suggested by MeowyTitan08 - Saying someone isn't good enough (or too young, a girl, ect.) is very unkind. This is a big problem in the real world and we don't want it in Scratch.
False Reporting/Mass Reporting - False Reporting (better known as Mass Reporting by the community) is reporting something even though it doesn't violate the Community Guidelines. This has been a big problem lately and you can stop it! If you see someone do this report them right away.
2.Be constructive
Unkind Comments - You might find a project that is “bad”, but instead of saying it's bad, give suggestions to make it better. Doing this is a great way to be looked up to. If you see any comments that say something like “bad” or “this is the worst project” or something else hit the report button above it.
Being Constructive Unkindly - Just because your being constructive doesn't mean your doing it kindly. Comments like “this project is really bad! To make it better you should get some better artist to draw it” is being constructive but not in a good way. Again, if you see comments like this please report them immediately.
3.Share
Telling People They Can't Remix - Telling people that they cannot remix is against the rules. Scratch allows anyone to remix anything. Even if the owner tells you not to.
Not Allowing Members to Use Your Art, Scripts, ect. - Not allowing users to use your stuff is against the rules. As we said before you must “Share”. It's literally on the home screen. Imagine Program Share.
4.Keeping Personal Info. Private
For this one I'm gonna list what you can share and what you can't share. I'll put a “✔” next to it if it's allowed. Otherwise I will put a “X” next to it.
List Of Things You Can/Can't Share
Birthdays X
Real Names X
Country ✔
Discord Servers, Skype, ect. X
Facebook (or any other social media) X
YouTube Videos ✔ (on conditions)
Phone Numbers X
Email Addresses X
Family members/friends accounts on Scratch ✔
Websites outside of Scratch ✔ (on conditions)
Passwords X
Social Security Numbers X
Genders ✔
(I know I didn't add everything. So, if you know something I didn't add, please tell me.)
5.Be Honest
Don't Impersonate Other Scratchers or Celebrities - Impersonating someone means pretending like your them. This makes people believe (sometimes) that you are the person you say you are. Once people think that your someone else they might pass on the message and then eventually everyone will think your someone else. Don't do this. Just take my word for it.
Don't Say Something That isn't True - Telling someone something that isn't true is called lying. Sometimes lying can hurt people or even make them leave Scratch.
6.Help Keep the Site Friendly
Keep Things Appropriate - Scratch was created for kids. So we must keep it appropriate for them and everyone else.
Use the “Report” button - The report button is found on projects, comments, studios, & even profiles. If someone breaks the Community Guidelines, it's your job to click that button, (added by @BearSlothCoding) but do not reply to inappropriate comments, or comment on people's profile telling them they violated the Community Guidelines.
Note: If you know anything I missed please let me know and I'll add them. Thanks for reading!

No offence, this topic is really good but-
There are like 9 stickies on this forum right now - wouldn't that take up too much space?
Just in case, though, I'll report this to be stickied.

That's actually really good! I have a suggestion though: under be respectful, maybe add ‘Don’t discriminate others'? It's a big problem in the real world, we don't want it on Scratch.
by the way, you can't not allow users to use your art? being a user who shares art, i have a ‘don’t reporst, retrace, recolour, or steal any of my art' rule…

The moment you share something on Scratch, every Scratcher has the rights to it.
Make sure to be careful with that rule of yours

Personally though, I dislike that rule — I just follow it for the sake of not getting an alert lol

Everything you share on Scratch is under a CC-BY-SA license, which means anyone can use your project for anything, as long as they include credit to you and share their work under this same license. If you wish to give your art a different license, where no one is allowed to use it at all, you might want to post it somewhere else.

This is a very good idea. I like those Community Guidelines, but i think the original Community Guidelines are supposed to be simple and short, and yours are more long and complex. They look like a mix between the Scratch Rules, the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Use. Maybe there could be a button under the community guidelines that enables the “Simple Version” (current one) and the “Specific Version” (yours). Idk if support or not support, but i'm pretty sure it would be perfect with this suggested button. Have a noice day

Yes, but maybe they'll be able to find somewhere. Also, thanks for reporting it to be stickied. No offence, this topic is really good but-

I've added “Mass Reporting” to the list because of the recent problems. I'm planning on creating a “Not Against The Community Guidelines” section because some people think things like “F4F” (Follow For Follow) or “FOR” (Follow On Request) are banned; but they really aren't.

“False Reporting” has been a “problem” on Scratch for years, even though everyone I have seen complain about it has broken the Community Guidelines. Over the years I have seen many of my friends be banned for “no reason” even though they totally had it coming.
May I be wrong? Is there an actual problem of bots being used to ban people when they don't deserve it? Maybe.
But I really really really doubt it.

On the “Use the report button” you should also add that if you see an inappropriate comment you shouldn't reply to it or anything just report it and move on.

It's a post similar to a sticky, as in it provides useful information, but it's not actually stickied and instead gets bumped regularly. (I believe.)An ITopic?I agree. There are like 9 stickies on this forum right now - wouldn't that take up too much space?
