What does it take for an account to be taken down?
Basically, I am an absolute grammar Nazi, and I pointed out a few grammatical errors on a featured project. Someone then replied to me, “It offends me that you're spamming.” Now i then said to him/her that “I don't have time for this” and “I'm too tired to argue” and all that, which I admit was brash on my part. Now, he/she then replied on my account “Reported along with 13 others
” Now, I then replied to him and realised that my account could be taken down. So, I ask, would this along with an argument I had a few days ago, be enough to get my account permanently banned?

It doesn’t seem like it would to me, but you might want to send a message using Contact Us to explain your situation

You forgot to capitalize an “I,” Grammazi.
No, this is not even close for your account to be banned.
I've done much worse stuff and hey, this account still exists.
Worst case scenario is that the comments are deleted and you get a warning.

In the future, I would personally advise against trying to correct users' spelling or grammar, since it can seem unfriendly and using poor grammar on a children's website isn't really the end of the world.

In all seriousness though it is unlikely that they were able to report your comment along with 13 others, however in the future, please keep grammar corrections to yourself since scratch is a kids website, therefore users should not be expected to know perfect grammar. However, it would be appropriate to mention grammar mistakes on a writing website for example or even on scratch when polite, this for example this would be appropriate:
Hi there! I really like this project! Just a quick note though: you might want to ____ anyways, scratch on!Edit: grammar :eyeroll:

What exactly are you going to achieve by correcting grammar on a website targeted at children?
It won’t get you banned, but seriously, that’s just mean spirited and quite cruel, considering the website you’re on and the audience it’s aimed at. Please don’t do it again.

targeted at children?I don't think it's not really that cruel and mean to point out a grammatical error unless it's actually worded meanly. If it was like “Theyre is actually They're” then that's not mean. What exactly are you going to achieve by correcting grammar on a website

targeted at children?“Cruel” is a bit of a strong word there. Depends on the context. If you're correcting a young user or a user whose english isn't their first language, it can come out as offensive yeah. Random example, if you're helping someone with their fpc app then correcting a mistake should be taken as genuinely helpful. You need context before judging OP because they corrected a mistake. Of course, since no context is given, you don't know.
OP, I second the points above this post, there isn't really much of a point to correct grammar mistakes like that, randomly, on a site where people are young. I too, just like you, am a “grammazi”, but I only really need to correct someone in a given, precise context where it's genuine help.
You don't know who you can come across and whether they will take that as rude or not. I would recommend you to not get into flame wars over a grammar or spelling mistake, or I'd recommend you to not get into flame wars at all.
If you think your argument is getting heated, stop immediately. You won't achieve anything from having the last word except maybe a simple warn.

Unless they are correcting someone's grammar and make a grammar mistake. Otherwise, same. I too, just like you, am a “grammazi”, but I only really need to correct someone in a given, precise context where it's genuine help.

Based on what you described in the first post, I would highly doubt that it would lead to a permanent account block. Account blocks are usually given only after warnings. Regardless, if you're having a disagreement with another user and its getting heated, then I would highly suggest not responding to it anymore as it may just escalate the argument. Please also report any comments that are mean and unfriendly.
I would also recommend taking Za-Chary's advice when it comes to correcting someone else's grammar:
