Why do you need the backpack when you are in the costumes tab?

There's no way to backpack costumes only in Scratch 3.0. You will need a sprite with no code, drag all the costumes you want to backpack in that sprite, then backpack the sprite.

Wel… I would assume you drag the costume into the backpack…

You can't backpack anything if the backpack is not opened. And that backpack always close when you are in the ‘Costumes’ tab.

What…? Sprites are always backpack-able….
Just open your backpack in Codes section and drag your sprite in.

I always thought backpacking costumes was impossible – until I accidentally set the size to 90%. I was then able to see the backpack. I think we can be pretty sure this is a bug.
