Scratch Jr Online?
Scratch jr on a desktop would be cool, but most little kids are probably more comfortable with a touch interface rather than a mouse and keypad controller.

Scratch Jr Online?
No support. ScratchJr is made for kids of 5-7 ages, and is a program to introduce programming to younger children. There is even no if else, variables, operators, sensing etc. It isn't made for little kids to share their projects online and get famous with it. If they ever need an online feature, they will use Scratch 3.0 with the new horizontal blocks (which will be most likely implemented, as we see cleaner versions of ScratchJr blocks on the scratchblocks GitHub and ST revealed it before the release) and even on their tablets, because 3.0 IS already implemented to Android tablets, and will most likely come to iPads soon. Also I don't know if here is the place a suggestion about the Jr version.

Scratch Jr Online?
SO SORRY, I didn't see the post saying you meant desktop. Scratch Team said we will be able to switch between vertical and horizontal blocks in normal Scratch 3.0. (also seen on scratch-blocks GitHub) But nevermind, this image on ScratchJr GitHub shows that it WILL be released on browsers in the future. I don't believe that it will be online like Scratch, I mean sharing projects and all that. No support. Ok, most kids who are on Scratch JR are kids on their moms iPad who had nothing better to do, or their parents are trying to make them learn.
lets face it: 5 year olds shouldnt have access to a computer.
Scratch JR was made as a way to let kids learn if they arn't fortunate enough to have the proper materials for scratch 3.0.

Scratch Jr Online?
Scratch Jr. is very efficient in protecting the young generation from the hate and trolls the online Scratch has.
If they feel the need to move on, they shall move on to Scratch 3.0
support as per this lol
It takes enough moderation to take care of this site. Here, at least, simple troll images are allowed - they could be super creepy for Scratch Jr users. Just think about how much moderation and care that would require. And not only from the Scratch Team's perspective, but think from a parent's perspective. I mean, if I was one, I wouldn't let my child in on a website “meant for tiny children” which has a large community.

say [well kids can stay offline but it will be boring for older kids
and if you quitting scratch because its too childish think again its not
so they should be the same as scratch not posting advertisment or f4f and if that its better then]
