hey, if one of you could explain to me how to use scratch as an image host (example: our current banner), that'd be great! i know the trick to make a picture/gif into a project thumbnail (the world_languages thingy), but then when i try to get the image address of the thumbnail the image ends up being tiny. ;-; you can reply to this post or respond on the studio, i'll see it either way. (:

Trainee suggestion

Remember when we completely changed the trainee system in January? (Wow, that was only January-) Well, I decided that I don't really like how trainees work! I hate to introduce more things for Dancer to do right now (sorry Dancer), but here's a suggestion:

Change the requirements for joining. People joining the shop must have either experience in another shop or a certain amount of forum posts (20? 40? 30? Who knows, I'm taking suggestions), they must be a Scratcher, and they must agree to the terms (and have the codeword) to join the shop.
If they don't have experience in another shop, a certain amount of forum posts, or they aren't a Scratcher, then they can be a trainee.
Trainees still get fired after two checks, they still don't get to vote (sorry, trainees), and they can still get promoted after responding to three checks (but maybe we can lower it to two?).
With the new system, they'd also be able to become a member once they meet all of the requirements.

If two BoD members back me up, then this can move to a discussion for a few days and then a vote! Also, feel free to suggest ways I can improve this suggestion.

I'm impressed that I remembered/managed to type with proper capitalization for this whole post, I usually type all-lowercase.

Nope, old accounts still count towards the requirements. If you meet the requirements on an old account, you could still join as a full member.

You can check the UOC for orders to take, and you should comment what you can do on the shop studio.

Hmm…I think this is too complicated, but I think we should keep track of when people join. They'll have to say “active” once every month from when they've joined (so not everyone at the same time) because if we lower it to two, then if someone joins right before an activity check, they'll technically only have to wait a little while. Although it's complicated (eve I don't really support it)
