Scratch for nintendo switch

Yes, but to get those games you would need a credit card, something not many kids have. It would be very difficult for a kid to get a game like that, but you can't charge someone to use a web browser; so the browser would have to be free or nonexistent. If it's free, a kid could easily access stuff worse then anything you can get on the switch, something Nintendo obviously doesn't want. And, Direct Minis aren't ads.

Then why is there a web browser already in the Switch that you can access for free due to the nature of the internet, or not in the newer console that is advertised to more mature audiences when older ones already had a browser

This method has been around since around launch
Also, what do you mean “the internet's getting worse”? That's a bit subjective.

All the switch would need to do is to just let people access the web browser (search up switch's hidden web browser).
But does the “secret web browser” have HTML5? WebGL? I doubt it…

The Nintendo Switch is never getting a browser.
Why? Because then kids could easily access the internet and the internet can be a very bad place. The only way scratch would be allowed on a switch is if Nintendo were allowed to moderate it, which would probably impact scratch a ton.
I believe Nintendo's biggest issue is that a web browser will lead to increased hacking/homebrewing.

Blatant lie. If you look at the Switch reveal trailer, pretty much every person in the trailer is a young adult.
The people in ads don't represent the audience on the product… The Switch reaches an audience of all ages.

Accessing this would likely be automatically restricted if Parental Controls are enabled, so that would certainly help.

That isn't supposed to be accessed through. That is required for some things on the Switch, but is not ment for general use.

Anyways, let's get back on topic…

While it would be very cool if Scratch ran on the Switch, we don't have the resources to make that happen on our own.
