Really all you need to do is say when you start working on a new version of the game and add some information. It requires about the same amount of effort as the post you just sent

sorry guys, i don't feel i can keep up with the rules. can i leave the collab?Rankware Rules:
Everyone has one of the following states of presence:
- Online: Either working or communicating.
- Working: Effectively means you are working on a remix (new version) of the actual game or on a separate project which will have its contents copied to a new version of the game until you are allowed to make a new version. To be considered working, you must have posted a comment on this forum topic saying that you are starting work and whether you are making a remix or separate project to have its contents copied to the game later on.
- Communicating: You are considered communicating if you are talking to people on this forum topic.
You are not permitted to make a new version of the game (remix) if someone else is already making one! If they are making a remix and started before you, but you want to make one, you must send a comment on this forum topic with the time you have arrived saying that you would like to make a remix, that is if you really want to make a remix. If you need to put additional content into the game then you can make a seperate project with the content you wish to add. However, for the sake of yourself and the person making the remix while you are making additional content, check that they are not doing the same thing as you are! Once it is your turn to remix, you can use the backpack tool to copy over the content from your seperate project into the remix.
When you want to start work on the game and nobody else is working on a remix, you must post a comment on the forum saying the following:
1) That you are now working.
2) Roughly how long you will be.
3) What you will be working on.
To be allowed to work on the game, you MUST AGREE TO THESE RULES! Otherwise your new version may be removed from the studio. I will allow a few days before this is put into action.
* I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this system. *
* These rules may be edited over time to allow for appropriate changes. *

Everyone, please don't all just leave at once, I think I over complicated the rule system. When you want to start work on the game and nobody else is working on a remix, you must post a comment on the forum saying the following:
1) That you are now working.
2) Roughly how long you will be.
3) What you will be working on.
If someone is making a remix then you can't make one at the same time as them. I just added a few details, thats all.
1) That you are now working.

Your barely on the line to be joined. You are experienced with cloud, but you need to know other things. Do you?
P.S. You can't ask to be a Co-Owner or Director. I shall choose you to be depending on how active you are and how much you contribute.

Just to let you guys know, the whole aim of the rules I have proposed (and admittidly exadurated) is to organise the way this group works. I have tried to make do with a forum topic, a folder which you can comment on and the abliity to make projects and comment on them, and the rules i have proposed are what I have got. When I say organise how this group works, I am talking about making sure no two or more people work on the same thing at the same time and content has to be wasted, which can cause people to get annoyed and leave. I know you all will have to put a tiny bit more effort in now, but compared to what you might end up losing, i think it is worth it. This is also needed to let Rankware grow and function efficiently. We need to work as a team to finish this game, no matter what.

It sounds good, but will need a bit more detail as to what people do when someone is already making a project. We will also need to have a to do list (my idea for the best place for it would be the description of the studio). This is what I suggest (it will still need improvements):i dont know if i can do this… normally, i just remix. Rankware Rules:

Rankware's Policies
Starred (*) policies only apply in the unlikely circumstance that someone else is making a remix at the same time as you want to be making one
1) When you want to start work on the game and nobody else is working on a remix, you must post a comment on the forum saying the following:
a) That you are now working.
b) Roughly how long you will be.
c) What you will be working on.
2) If someone is making a remix then you can't make one at the same time as them. You should instead choose either option A or B below:
a) Wait until it is your turn to remix, then make a remix.
b) Make additional content on a separate project, then add it to a remix when it is your turn.
3) Make the tasks on the To Do List your priority, unless you feel like you can add something quickly which isn't on the To Do List.

May I just add that the rules are not finished yet! So don't feel like you have to leave because you can't work around them! Just say what issues you have and we will try to help you fit in.

Oh and letsplayally, may I suggest you change the title of this forum to ‘Rankware Programming - The Professional Scratch Collaboration’, it's just so that people expect there to be some rules.

I just looked it up and I don't think you can… We could either stick with the one we have or make a new forum. I think we got of to a bad start, seeing as only something like 15% of our team actually do anything, so we could make a new forum, modify the front page post, change the name, chuck out the inactive ‘members’, get everyone to stick to the rules and have a fluid task list. Is that okay with everyone?
