What is a spam code?

Just wondering… what is a spam code or number?
some scratchers post ‘random number to avoid spam’ or ‘spam code’ on my projects or profile. I dont understand what this means and it would be helpful to find out. Is it relevant to me or is it just for the other scratchers use? It might be something I would find helpful if I knew what it was.
Thx for reading, @cs2411456.
Sorry if I did something wrong or posted this in the wrong place. I do not to this on purpose.

I don't see any instance of people saying “spam code” or “random number to avoid spam” on your profile comment area. Can you provide some examples that you saw?

If you comment the same thing over and over, I'm pretty sure Scratch's automated filter eventually prevents you from posting. Adding a random number to the end makes each message unique and reduces the chance of the filter blocking your comments.

I would guess that is what the people you saw were doing.

If you post the same comment on many different profiles in a short time the Scratch Algorithm will think that it is spam and will not let you comment.
To prevent this they just add a random number so that the Algorithm doesn't realize that you commented the same thing. I hope that this helps

a spam code is a random number a person puts in their comment if its repetitive or annoying. For example: “Wanna see my forum? Click on this link (bla bla bla) and it will send u to the forum! Random number to avoid spam: 9023” and if the person says 9023, they somehow not advertise on your profile anymore.
