If you do have a bad computer, it might be much harder for it to save. If you closed your computer to fast also, It definitely wouldn't save. Sadly, their is no way to get your work back, but try again!

I am very sorry, that has happened to me before and it does not feel good. I use the website as well. Try contacting a Scratch Admin!

Not to be Captain Obvious, but did you push “Remix this Project” BEFORE you started messing with the Scratch Blocks?
no i clicked “look inside”
Okay. So, if you just click look inside and start editing it, then scratch won't save it. If you remix it, then scratch will autosave (since it is “your” project). Since you did not save, you probably lost all of your work when scratch crashed. The scratch crash could be explained. Maybe you just put too much code or costumes or maybe the server was just having problems. Basically, You cannot get your code back. If scratch did save your projects on some back server, and haven't let anyone access it, they won't let you access it. Meanwhile, using scratch desktop doesn't really provide a difference. If there is lag, then it is probably your computer. Now, you can contact the scratch team and wait for a reply, or you can just go and redo the code.

Please don't just put in random links as advertising (unless it's your signature) and please don't just put random blocks.

Then it might just be my computer because I have many problems with it.
I use Turbowarp Offline. Trust me, when you start using this and learn everything about it, your Scratch life will become a whole lot less tedious. Not to mention, when I reported a bug to @GarboMuffin, the creator, he released a patch that COMPLETELY FIXED IT the VERY NEXT DAY!!!

There are a lot of different system configurations out there, so these bugs may be somewhat hit and miss… which would definitely make them harder to find and patch.

I did take a moment to test with the Scratch Desktop Client, and I have no trouble with voice blocks (once I enable the extension), and sprite sizes seem to change as expected with positive and negative values. I tried both a simple program and a direct edit, and both appeared to operate nominally.

Test performed on Scratch Desktop 3.6.0, Mac OS 10.13.6, 2020.04.20. Your mileage may vary.

Umm, that's not the case because when I close my laptop lid it enters sleep mode and when I lift it back up again it turns back on with all my work there.
