Scratch for the 3DS!

I would download Scratch on my 3DS if it existed. Playing my custom Mario RPG game on my 3DS would be a dream.

Well first, resolution. The 3DS (not 3DS XL) only has a resolution of 320x240 and 800x240 (split into two halves for the 3D effect), while Scratch needs 480x360. Downscaling is possible, but it will make Scratch more “ugly”.
Second, performance. The 3DS is nothing but “weak”. I mean, with 256MB of RAM and a clock speed of around 700 MHz, the 3DS is basically an early 2000s computer that just had a ARM9 built in.

Thank you to everyone for contributing to this discussion. Quite often in my life had I thought it would be cool to use Scratch on my Nintendo 3DS. However, Scratch for Nintendo Switch has recently been rejected, and unfortunately that means that this suggestion has been rejected as well.

The reason for rejecting this can be summed up to the fact that we don't have the resources to bring Scratch to the 3DS. Thanks again for an awesome discussion, though, and keep thinking of ways to improve Scratch!
