Same is happening to me. I'll bet it's the server being down but it not sending the “Our server is scratchin' it's head” message. I would just try to open it up the next day and check.

It's not that scratch is having problems, I checked it on my phone, and it was normal.

Just imagine the normal front page of scratch, but all the projects' title is just “Project,” and, they have no thumbnail.

Thats's happening to me too, still. I think scratch might release a statement or at least show the “scratchin' our head” error message soon.

I just checked my phone and it works fine on there but it works differently on phones. Right after trying to post this for the first time, I finally got an error message. Tge Scratch team is currently working on it, or that’s what the error message said.

I’ve been trying to do my schoolwork all day, yet half of my assignment won’t work either. Guess we just need to throw out the conputers ad go back to living in dark holes with rats for food. This is really annoying and i wish we could get a statement from them

Is it only not working on Chrome? Windows 10 works just fine, but I hate drawing with the mouse and my chromebook is the only computer I have that's touch screen.

I'm really not sure. It works fine on my iPhone with the Safari browser. But that's a whole different web browser than Chrome. Google classroom is being used by a ton of schools right now, probably most of them. They have to give out chromebooks or ipads, but chromebooks are cheaper so most schools went with those. Chromebooks can only use Chrome under a school's administration, so the servers are probably being overloaded right now. Not to mention that a bunch of the chromebooks are suffering from a bug that bogs down the user's wifi. So with Scratch users being far more active now and that paired up with the slowest of slow wifis, the servers must be crumbling under their own weight.

Well, I guess it's just chrome failing to handle all the activity. I'm going to report this problem on their help site

My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 12871.76.0, Chrome 81.0.4044.103, No Flash version detected
Okay, so I just went to the about page on Scratch for some answers if they had any, and I found that the video under “Learn to Code, Code to Learn” section displayed the message: “We're sorry: video playback cannot be initialized on your browser at this time.” So I guess that means that it's only Chrome that's expierencing these troubles, unless someone on a different browser has this error message as well. So I guess we just have to wait it out, Chrome people. Sorry

You shouldn't have removed all of the original post, instead close the topic so it is still useful from archival point of view.
