Multiplayer Programmers Needed - Chrono Wars

Chrono Wars was a collaboration that aimed to make one full real-time strategy game.
The Chrono Wars collaboration was started in August 2010 by ScratchReallyROCKS. Initially, there was absolutely no idea of what the collaboration was going to make, and there was room for thirty participants to work in different groups. After much discussion, the game was decided to be a real-time strategy game with some unique features, and was named TimeCraft (this name was later changed to Chrono Wars). After weeks of small discussion, website problems, ideas and new participants, they finally decided to do the heavy work on the game in mid-2011, when they would all have more time to program.
ATTENTION: I am not the creator of Chrono Wars, I am just a person who wants to continue the legacy of ScratchReallyROCKS.
If griffpatch alone managed to create a real-time MMO in Scratch, we together managed to create a real-time strategy game. I've heard that the maximum number of players that can play an online game in Scratch is from 8 to 10.
We'll all make it together.
We need people with experience in:
- Algorithms
- Game Development
- Experience with cloud data
- Good ideas

You want to make a massive multiplayer online (mmo)?
Explain more about how it will work.
What will players do?
How will players interact?
Will it be server based (a computer that runs always holding all the data and giving it out to clients (players) as they need it (via cloud variables)) or self hosted (like slither.io by griffpatch where each player receives updates from other players via a cloud variable)?

It will be in cloud variables. The concept of the game is as follows: 5 players online have to destroy a few Aliens (Aliens are not players, they are just NPCs) The amount of Aliens coming depends on the number of players playing at the same time, so that one player does not have to face an army. I made all this up by myself.

It will be in cloud variables. The concept of the game is as follows: 5 players online have to destroy a few Aliens (Aliens are not players, they are just NPCs) The amount of Aliens coming depends on the number of players playing at the same time, so that one player does not have to face an army. I made all this up by myself.So players and aliens walk around a map (how big? what is on it?) that (scrolls?) and they defeat aliens by shooting / creating units / controlling units.
It sounds like it will not use a server so all the values (health, position etc) of the players aliens and possible troops will be stored in cloud variables.
Will this be in matches (like chess) or the game never ends and people just join and leave (like slither.io).
If it never ends consider how you essentially punish people for dying (to stop people just reloading when they get low health and then health would become useless.
Consider how players will interact with the game (is it top down or what?), the art style, the controls, how the game will progress (to keep players interested).

1- The Map will probably be a post-apocalyptic desert with dead trees and bones. It won't be scroller, because a scrolling engine plus a multiplayer system is very difficult.
2- When a Player is attacked, he automatically dies and is reborn three seconds later.
3- It will be like Chess, and when the match is over, all the Aliens killed by the players come together and form a total team score. The goal is that the team wins the highest possible score until the time (5 minutes) is over.
4- The game is getting more and more difficult, with more and more aliens appearing.
