Sorry, but… for some reason some pictures aren’t showing up… like tags

Hmm…. maybe there could be a “projects” menu where the projects (shown as their thumbnails) are in a horizontal list where they bulge when near the middle and you slide/click and drag to see other projects? (Like a horizontal slider?)

(Why can’t I see that picture? Maybe I’ll have to try on my school computer…)

What's the main colour scheme of launchpad?

Hmm….well, the main color scheme from the banners I've seen that aren't blocked seem to be black and red, I believe. Maybe for the setup we should add one more color, because for the icons and background, black wouldn't show up and we wouldn't want to use red for everything. What would go with a dark red?

Color Scheme:
So, for those of you who haven't seen the updated project, our color scheme is now turquoise. I understand this is a big change, but working with red in UI is pretty much impossible.
I've attached a download link to a pdf about color schemes, I suggest reading it. Our full color scheme, including warning message colors, alert colors, etc. is similar to the one found near the end of the pdf.

It doesn't work on all computers. Can you press the globe button when you respond please? It will help diagnose your problem.
Anyways, nice idea! I'll move it directly to the requiring code step, because the only assets it needs are rectangles, really.

Ok, there's been a lot of clean up, but my post is still somewhat buried, so I'm gonna put it here again:
OK. WORKING ON PROJECT TIME.

We really need to actually start making progress. People who don't help in the next two days are out. (Unless inactive.)

We need to stop blabbering about stuff and just start.

So, I'm going to organize stuff a bit.

Idea people:
Come up with ideas, try coding them if you can. When you post, add the “Idea” tag.

Design People:
Make the assets for these ideas. Follow the guidelines at RefactoringUI.com, try to make them look like the style I've been using. I will approve them as head of design.

Code People:
Start coding these ideas with their APPROVED assets. Post the project links, tag them with the “Draft” tag.

Design People, Idea People:
Give feedback on how the coders are putting the project together.

If you do Ideas, Design, and Code, go ahead, do everything. :p

GET STARTED.

Ideas in need of assets:
Button that says “Launch” with rocket glyph. [claimed by @1132262]

Ideas with approved assets in need of code:
project tomorrow alert
horizontal slideshow

Ideas with code and approved assets and code need of design and idea feedback:
login

you're welcome @MClovers

Okay, I have a few ideas.

Create Account

-Since this project relates to Scratch, the username should probably be their Scratch username, as if Launchpad is public it could cause confusion with other people's projects.

-We should probably have a spot to put in email adressess just to verify that the user really is the account they are signing up with, and they are not trying to impersonate anyone.

-I don't know if this is possible, but maybe link it to their Scratch account so the birthday and email address is the same? It would help verify and make sure that the person signing up is actually the Scratcher they're signing up as.

-Signing in can probably be similar to Scratch's sign in, just entering a username and password.

-After signing in, (I don't know if Launchpad users will have a profile page) either be transfered to their profile page or their released / work in progress Launchpad creations.

-The sign in should probably look similar to the login's layout and color scheme.

I'll probably think of some more ideas later, but these are all I've got for now.

What if somebody had an account called MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM that took up a bunch of space and flowed out of the notification box? I think it would be wise to limit usrnms to 15 char.s

-We should probably have a spot to put in email adressess just to verify that the user really is the account they are signing up with, and they are not trying to impersonate anyone. –N/A if we don't match them to the Scratch usrnm

-Signing in can probably be similar to Scratch's sign in, just entering a username and password. –Yes

-After signing in, (I don't know if Launchpad users will have a profile page) either be transfered to their profile page or their released / work in progress Launchpad creations. –Profile page would make more sense, because most normal users don't have projects

-The sign in should probably look similar to the login's layout and color scheme.
–Yes

I'll probably think of some more ideas later, but these are all I've got for now.

Creating a project general flow:
-Person signs out
-Goes through the login, selects create
-Selects “Project” as opposed to “Account”
-Enters the project details, including password
they have the choice to link the project to a user account if they want, this is how it goes:
-User clicks the “Pair with an Account” button
-They get a string of words like
horse table clock mouse camera metronome lawyer account
to copy
-They click the confirm button
-They log in on the account the want to pair
-They click the “Pair a project” button
-They paste their string of words, and if they got it right, the server connects the project to the account

Do we have a design for a user's account page? I'm going to start working on a layout anyway.
