There's no way to know that, so I've just gotta assume that the biggest projects that there can be are projects that are near the limit or something.

Just throwing this out there, the projects of @WazzoTV's series “The Scratch Saga” are pretty heavy. Especially episode 3, I couldn't even load that one ;P

I just downloaded it, and a bunch of other projects I was interested in looking at. Here is what I found:

Scratch Saga 2.0 by @WazzoTV: 33.7 MB
Scratch Saga 3.0 by @WazzoTV: 151.2 MB
Paper Minecraft by @griffpatch: 3.1 MB (most-viewed project on Scratch)
Super Golf by @Za-Chary: 39.6 MB (arguably my biggest shared game)

There are also a couple of unfinished games I've been working on. One is currently 151.3 MB, and the other is 135 MB.

Well, considerably, there is also AnaniAnime's Avatar Creator, that's pretty heavy. And I also believe that World_Languages or was it @qucchia has created a project that exceeds 10 MB I think… the thumbnail said 'more than 10 MB" or something like that.

It actually is lol. I'm surprised too - griffpatch's managed to optimise that game really well (though the complete lack of music in that game helps keep that file size small).
His recreation of Terraria is significantly larger, at 27.9 MB.
For reference, my largest project is 55 MB in size.
I can't find the topic that it was mentioned in, but I believe that PrincessPandaLover had a project in the works that was about 250 MB in size.

I'm guessing you're talking about this project. That project isn't big in terms of total file size, more that it's managed to get around the 5 MB size limit imposed on the project.json file, which contains all the coding, variables and lists of your project.

Honestly. If we are judging, not just based popularity, it would have to be Paper Minecraft, or Scratch Terraria by Griffpatch.

Popularity would be the Scratch Saga, with the community polling that, but then just based on views alone, etc. that one Scratch Cat miner game that blew up.

Super Mario Scralaxy 0.5.8 was pretty big due to uncompressed sounds - 50mb. It's not quite as big as some of the others here but it's worth mentioning. After I made an update compressing the sounds it became 23mb.

I think you can find them on YT

My orchestral music maker is about half a gigabyte since it uses hundreds of high quality audio files. You definitely can push the limit far beyond what most people think. Major downsides however, it's impossible to save if you make too many changes. I could only import 10 files and save at a time or else it would endlessly save. It's also only possible to load the project on FireFox (It doesn't limit the ram.) Turbowarp obviously works though.
