The Emerald Shop 3.0 is moving forum topics! This collab has been created to give us a place to brainstorm and work on ideas for the new topic. Please only post here if you're a member of The Emerald Shop.

Note: Many of these were suggested by more than one person, so I didn't credit anyone for the suggestions. Sorry.

Accepted:

1. Have Pie reserve more posts (10, probably) for the new front page
   
2. Have members of the BoD reserve posts (order TBD)
   
3. Have a post for showcasing work done by employees
   
4. Introduce more forms (Partnerships, leave/absence)
   
5. Have multiple people submit banners and let the shop vote on them to decide which will be the new banner
   
6. Create a Collaborations forum topic for this (lol)
   
7. Move the studio link to the navigation pane
   
8. Showcase reviews of the shop on the front page
   
9. Make some of the text (headings?) on the front page green
   
10. Expand the TES 1.0 history section (with help from Muffins)
    
11. Begin an advertising campaign for TES 4.0 (when is TBD)
    
12. This isn't really a suggestion, but @AFNNetworkK12 made a video for us! tiny.cc/CodeForScratch (I haven't seen it yet, it's blocked on my school Chromebook. Someone remind me to watch it on my phone later.)
    
13. Hold a 2-week activity check before the move and fire anyone who does not respond.
    
14. Add a list of past employees somewhere on the front page. (There was one in TES 1.0, but we may have to go through all of the past pages of the shop.)
    
15. The Secretary (mango) will decide whether to have a static UOC, a moving UOC, or both.

Pending:

1. None!

1. Move the previous topic links to the navigation pane
   
2. Add a report form (they're not allowed, according to this)
   
3. Add an “urgent orders” section to the UOC
   
4. Add a minimum amount of work that must be done by employees every month

Somehow, I doubt that you suck at everything. You can always help by taking orders, making a banner, or helping with the front page (eventually, when I make the first draft).

Advertising campaign - This should probably be just after the launch of V4, when everything is sorted out but we still have a shiny new thread, campaigning in 3.0 might confuse people because we tell people to go to 3.0, then when they get there all they see is talk about the new forum, they might get confused. An “official launch” of V4 could be cool to celebrate though.

History section - Sounds good to me

Activity check - I honestly think a one week one would be fine. People know that activity checks are sporadic and most people are home and on scratch a lot anyway. (maybe I'm just more cold-hearted than you, lol)

Past employees - This would be cool but also very long and hard to implement, would someone have to go through all the previous pages to look for employees?

Activity check - And I thought I was cold-hearted!

Past employees - Well, we had a list in 1.0 so that's that part sorted. There wasn't one for 2.0 and 3.0 because… well… I don't know why. Maybe all of us could look through 2.0 and 3.0 to make a list of previous employees.

So for example: Anyone who isn't on the BoD has to take at least one order in the given time (any of the ones above^), or they will get a strike. For the BoD though, I don't know. Cause they each have their own job, so I'm not sure.
