What happens when you “report” a project? How long does it take the Scratch team to remove it? Do they contact you about what they did? What does the person who made the project see?

What happens when you “report” a project? The report is sent to us, so we can see the project you reported and the reason you gave as to why you reported it.
How long does it take the Scratch team to remove it?Assuming that it's worthy of being removed, it could take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. It depends on how many moderators are working and when they get to your report.
Do they contact you about what they did?Not really. The only time we might contact you is if the report wasn't satisfactory in some way.
For instance, perhaps you hated the project because it “wasn't a good game,” and you felt the need to use the Report button for the reason that “this game is bad.” We might send an alert to you because that's not a good reason to use the Report button.
Another example might be if you report a project as an exact copy, but you provide insufficient information; that is, we can't tell what the project is a copy of. In this case we might send you an alert asking you to report the project again, but this time give a link to the project that it is an exact copy of.
Whether we ultimately decide to leave the project up or take it down, we don't contact you about that decision.
What does the person who made the project see?If nothing is wrong with the project, they don't see anything. In particular, they can't see that you reported their project. If something is wrong with the project, we'll send them a notification saying that we took down the project, as well as the reason why we took it down.
Sometimes if enough people report a project, it automatically gets taken down until a Scratch Team member reviews it and verifies that it's okay for the website. The project creator will be notified that their project was automatically taken down, and they'll be notified on whether we put it back up or take it down.

Thank you for the prompt response! The project is still up. Can I give you directly the name or the link so you can remove it?

I would advise not to - putting the name or the link out here or on a Scratch Team member's profile could increase the number of users seeing the inappropriate content.Thank you for the prompt response! The project is still up. Can I give you directly the name or the link so you can remove it?
If its been a few days and the project hasn't been removed, then I would suggest reporting it again. Do note though, that reporting a project doesn't mean that it will be removed. Sometimes, the Scratch Team may decide (after reviewing the project) that its ok, or should just be marked as NFE (not for everyone). In both these cases, the project will remain shared on the website.
