I'm looking for a place where I can download free music for scratch. does anyone have a suggestion?

Well, if you google “royalty free music”, the magic google machine will bring you millions of places.

I know quite a few scratchers who can make pretty decent music. @Vubobinali @Equidas @CeIIs @Vibrato @CT7_labs @-Snipet-

And of course there are many more that I can't think of off the top of my head

Not every royalty free music is free to download and use by anyone. Sometimes artists will ask for a one time payment to make a song/give you the rights to it, and then you can use it royalty-free, as in you do not need to pay royalties every time you use it.

Some very good websites with free stock music are Incompetech (high quality by a single professional composer, has to be credited), FreePD (public domain music made by many different artists, no credit required) and Open Game Art (many free songs, sounds and art assets under many different licenses by many different artists, may not be super professional, some require attribution some don't)

You're right, it's just that you have to be more specific if you want to make sure you won't be infringing on anyone's copyright, even if on Scratch it's kind of pointless. You could search for “CC music”, “creative commons music” or “copyright free music” instead.
