I have a idea,
Pokémon Future: A game that takes place in Alola region, but 20 years in the future. You were selected to test a time machine, which gets destroyed after you travel to the future, and you must catch the legendary Pokémon, which generates energy that can reset the machine to bring you back to normal time. You meet Lillie’s future, or “present” children, which are your rivals for the game.

Chris: The older brother, he really likes fairy types, even though he displays as more of an edgy dude, his partner is a shiny eevee; later evolves into a Sylveon

Soarise: Definitely more of the edgy one; the younger sister, but she likes more of the edgier types, she refused a starter Pokémon so she caught her own Driftloon, which has been her partner since she was 6.

Otherwise, the game is more story based, and you get much more dialogue options…

Starters: (I don’t have names for them yet)
Grass type: a tree frog that evolves into a grass rock type
Fire type: a red ant mixed with a mouse, involves into fire poison
Water type: a water snake that evolves into a water ground type

that sounds pretty interesting, and I like the starter ideas! How come rock secondary typing for a frog?

Well, tree frogs climb on well, trees. I think last time I checked, Bonsly, a Pokémon based on tree, is a rock type.

Ah, makes sense.
isn't that because bonsly isn't actually a tree and only mimics one though?
either way a grass-rock type seems interesting enough to go with it anyway

It’s not a tree though. It’s a rock disguising itself as a tree. It’s based on petrified wood, a wood fossil.

I really doubt that. Sudowoodo is just s species of rock monster that mimics trees, most likely to avoid water types.

Fossilized wood\Petrified wood is that has become a fossil, fossils are most often rocks.
It could have duel inspirations though.

Yes, that is indeed what petrified wood is, but nothing about Sudowoodo implies this. Its design, type, name, and Pokedex entries all imply that Sudowoodo is a rock monster that mimics trees to avoid water type Pokemon.

Like I said, It's possible for a pokemon to have 2 or more design inspirations. None of us know what the pokemon team was thinking when they made any of the pokemon.

Pokemon idea: A ghost/steel type haunted battleship called Revenought.

I can't be bothered expanding on it but I figured somebody here might find it interesting.
