Driving Based Horror Game?
I thought of this a good while ago, whilst I was trying to come up with a game to develop on Roblox. Sadly my laptop barely even runs the Roblox player because it barely works so… I can't really remember the mechanics of the original game or anything, but here is the basic premise:
You drive endlessly on a city highway with full control over a car, so blinkers headlights, steering, gear shifting and the radio too. The game would be point and click so you would control everything with the mouse. I wanted the game to be partially controlled by the radio system, so depending on what your listening too the graphics would change. Not so scary so far. I also wanted the game to be set specifically in an older car, something from the 1970s, but i also wanted the cars around to go up to the 1990s. The horror aspect was that everything you did would influence something to happen. The quicker you went, the more distorted and strange things would get. Static and darkness would spill onto the screen making it harder to drive. Animals would randomly run across the road, not normal animals though, strange and disfigured beings, 8ft humanoids running past you on the road, things getting more chaotic by the second. I'd still really like to develop a game like this, on any platform really. The horror aspect in my opinion was a far fetched plan, but a good idea for game. I think I might start to develop this game on scratch or Roblox again, so if anyone is interested in helping out, contact me. Of course my planes would be kinda disturbing for a scratch game but like, ayy, I can always tone down the scariness, although I won't.
If I don't end up making a game like this but you want to yourself then uh I guess just make it and give credit for the idea. I guess people will probably compare it too BEWARE or something. I don't think that link is like bad on scratch so if it is please say so i don't get banned or something lol.

Driving Based Horror Game?
Hmm… this sounds nice but you may have to be cautious about the horror aspect.

Yeah, I doubt that scratch likes horror games that much…

Driving Based Horror Game?
Sounds like a certain story from r/nosleep, where one of the stories was a truck driver who had to deliver something to a far off town, and he was given instructions through a audio clip like ‘Keep your headlights on’, ‘When the lights start flickering, do not look in the rearview mirror’, ‘Pick the man up and let him into your truck, but under no circumstances do you look at him. When he asks to be let off, stop, let him off, and drive away as fast as you can’, stuff like that. I'd love a game like this, I'd be willing to help. Cool, @RoboticAuthor2. I've never actually heard of that story, If you want to develop a game like this with me, just ask and we can begin as soon as possible.

Driving Based Horror Game?
I have officially decided to begin development of the game. It's name will most likely be “eternal voyage”. I may lighten the horror aspect in areas of the game to please scratch moderators and make it slightly more peaceful to play.

Driving Based Horror Game?
A couple words of advice when making horror games: (source)
- Use no jumpscares. Ever.
- Apparently, being stalked by a black humanoid with glowing eyes is allowed provided no jumpscares are included.
- Also apparently, the lights suddenly going out without any cue is not allowed. This somehow counts as a “jumpscare.”
- And apparently, a lot of the elements of a basic psychological horror game (which you seem to be making) is allowed. A lot of the focus has been on jumpscares, and this area has kind of been ignored. Still, I would tone down your game to dim lighting, “you're not alone vibes,” etc.
