The message number near the messages icon should display the types of messages in the text. The image link is here.

What the letters mean
S = Studio Activity
F = Forum Activity
P = Project Activity
C = Comment Activity
T = Total

Let's say if there were 2 studio activity messages, 3 Forum notificatons, 1 Project notification, 5 Comment Notifications and 11 in total(2 + 3 + 1 + 5)

It's combined like this
(S) = “2 + S”
(F) = “3 + F”
(P) = “1 + P”
(C) = “5 + C”
(T) = “11 + T”

This is what it displays like
“(S), (F), (P), (C), (T)”

I'm confused how this would work. Would it show each individual letter with the number, or would it just how the letter if all the notifs were the same kind? if it's the second one, support

The position of the text needs to be changed. That might make it look nicer

This would be confusing in languages whose words for these start with the same letter, though I suppose they could use icons. Perhaps instead of having a long string in the badge (which shouldn't contain more than a number), it could show the detailed numbers in a tooltip

I'm not sure why this would be necessary though because you could just click to see what the messages are in the messages page

Maybe it would be better in the messages page, where there's more room for something like this. Would that not be a better place to put it?

kinda-semi-maybe-support. Maybe make it so it only shows you the different messages if you hover over the icon, since things could get messy if you have 10+ notifications in most of the categories.

Support if it's toggle-able and you get to choose what you want on it.

I think having something like this would take up too much space - in your mockup image, the message box is shown going into the search bar, which I don't think is something you would want to have happen and I can't think of any website that handles showing notifications like what you've shown. It would be useful for taking a quick look at what types of messages you're getting, but I think the design disadvantage outweighs that positive

I suggested them to change the position of the notification bar in the first post thus you didn't read it fully.

Also if ST were going to implement it, they would make it look better. I trust them you know.

So you don't click it to see it's just a studio activity message instead of a follow message. It's to prevent being scammed from one number.

Because you say it's looks bad(because it's mockup), i made a better image for your tastes to experience.
