Can you see previous versions of your project?

Aight, let's start with some exposition:

I have two computers I use for making scratch projects:
A windows computer that runs smoothly
and a Chromebook that can load pixelated vectors.
After spending about 1 hour of programming a card game, My windows died, so I switched to my Chromebook.
I then spent the next 6 hours on my game, making loads of progress and basically finishing.
When I turned my windows back on, the scratch tab was open, and before I could do anything…
Scratch saved the early version of my project.

This wasn't like previous lost projects where I could improve on my mitsakes, because in a card game you have two sides, so most of my hours were spent tediously changing variables and broadcasts.

I feel like an idiot for losing all that development time so easily, and was hoping that there is a way to restore everything.

Here's the project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/369703597/
several things are placeholders, and remember that I had most of the versus mode done, so anything new is an improvement.
Thank you.

I'm using the offline editor from now on.

Unfortunately for you, it isn't possible to restore earlier versions. What I do is to hit “save as copy” on a regular basis so that I can roll back or compare whenever I need to. It won't help with your current predicament but would stop it happening again in the future.

The problem was I had two different copies of my project open, one much earlier than the other. So after I closed out my finish project, I opened my windows to find that it had saved the early version.

Well, i don't think it is so hard. Even i think it is better to work offline than online. When editing offline you have more control about when you save your work-in-progres, and it is easiest to store multiple copies of it. Greets.

I save backups of my projects every 4 versions or so. I would get into the habit of doing this if I were you.

You are all kind, kind of, necroposting, but I save it every version, and work offline, as on released games, someone might look at your project in the middle of a coding session.

Please make your own topic; this one is a year old and some people may not notice your post all the way at the bottom here.

You can't see specific versions of your projects, although you can find some earlier ones by seeing older remixes or even keeping backup files for the previous versions in case you want to come back to it later.
