Deleting clones which play sound puts sound into a glitched state instead of stopping it

In Scratch 2 the workaround for non existing
stop sound [ v]::sound
block was to create a clone, play sound which needed to be stopped and immediately delete the clone which resulted in stopping only that sound.
Doing that in Scratch 3 instead of stopping the sound, will put it into a glitched state in which it can't be stopped by stopping the project or using one of those blocks:
stop all sounds
stop [all v]
I know other ways of stopping specific sound, but it would be nice to have this glitch fixed.
