Long pressing the blocks and selecting “duplicate” should work.

I should have been more precise…
I want to copy code from one sprite and paste or drag into another sprite.

Are you able to use the backpack? Try copying the scripts down into the backpack and then grab the backpack copy into the sprite you want.

I can't find it in the ipad version

So dragging scripts into other sprites is not possible as well?

I cannot help much further because I don't have an iPad, unfortunately.

Edit: Do you have access to a desktop computer? That may be the only option to duplicate blocks.

How do you duplicate characters on scratch on an i pad?

You cannot backpack scripts on mobile.

You should be able to hold the sprite in the sprite pane or the stage to show the right click options like with anything else, and there should be a duplicate option.
