Shop Suggestion

I am proposing a shop suggestion in relation to the Chairman and the Board of Directors. The main points of this suggestion are:

1. The Chairman will still have the casting vote in the event of a tie and be able to hire people.
2. The Chairman will also conduct activity checks, organize all discussions and votes in the studio, be able to fire people, manage trainees and excused shop members.
3. The Chairman will also organize monthly BoD meetings in the BoD studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5272046/
4. Each meeting will take place the week after the monthly activity check. At these meetings BoD members will think of and discuss new shop suggestions before they suggest them to the rest of the shop. Any shop suggestions suggested by members would go to this studio where they would need the support of three BoD members before it is debated by the rest of the shop. In this studio, the BoD will also discuss the day to day running of the shop and each position will give updates in relation to their job. (e.g. the PR Officer would inform the others about any new partnerships.)

This suggestion needs to be seconded by another BoD member before it can be debated by the shop. If a BoD member wants to change this suggestion, then please tell me before the vote begins. I hope that we can get this suggestion voted on by the end of the month.

I agree. I think that this would make the Chairman job much more useful, so yeah, I agree.

I agree this will make the chairman job more usefull

so if we are talking about the problems on scratch then we would be talking about the rudeness that happens and maby talking to people more about how to use scratch in a apropriate way and that would help a lot a lot of the rudeness that i see comes to bulleying on scratch I am folllowing this one person and he,s been bulleyed

um I also notice that people kind of only care about there followers and then there are some projects on scratch that are disrespectful and maby before making a project on scratch maby the project can report its self if its disrespectful because I have noticed a lot of that so maby rules to stop that from happening because when I joined scratch I did not notice rules and maby becoming a real scratcher on scratch the scratch team can see all there comments and projects to see if there a good scratcher doing what they should um that's a problem on scratch and its icons people put because I followed someone today and that person has a cross thumb nail and that shows Christian and I'm jewish so that effects some scratchers and when people join scratch and create there account name when they create it they or someone should make sure its appropriate the other day I ended up reporting a lot of people for what they do on scratch and I don't think that's the behavior people should have on scratch. especially what people write on there profiles it also effects people on scratch with something about themselves or there religion

I mean like people can't be doing this on scratch someone should talk to the scratch team about this

when people use scratch they should think there are all different people on scratch and some are sensitive and some get effected by what other scratchers say and this goes with cyberbullying I have seen so many people do that on scratch

there should be rules who lets these scratchers do this stuff they are online and there are things they can not do I mean someone is going to need to do something about this

ok is there any other problems on scratch we should fix or discuss ?

I feel like the scratch team should on scratch more like seriously because there are things scratchers should not be doing and the scratch team should stop that from happening

for discussing on scratch lets go with the good stuff I think there's always someone who is on scratch and is very active people are not so active on week days but I am a lot of people are on scratch in the summer

I didn't want to make this a separate post, so here we are! It's discussion time! Please discuss FloatingMuffins' suggestion on my comment thread the shop studio. The last day for discussion with be January 25th, then we can move on to voting.

And yes, I have BoD results. See my next post for that.
