Imagine if Nintendo held a contest to make everyone make up a moveset of any character that they can get the rights to (So mainly probably Nintendo stuff, possibly fighters from companies that Nintendo is friends with. (So, SEGA, maaaaybe Microsoft considering Cuphead, a Xbox and Windows exclusive got on Switch, and Banjo and Kazooie))

Notes on the fighters:

- The Terminator uses mainly weapons, his entrance animation is way too obvious and his final smash would be either him just destroying everyone in his non-flesh form, or the T-1000 randomly appears from the floor and K.O’s everyone.

- Iron Man and Spider-Man duo, Idk it sounds fun…

- The Cornetto Trio works like Pokémon Trainer but instead of Pokémon, the individual characters are all three of Simon Pegg’s characters in the Cornetto Trilogy of films, Final Smash would be a massive fence that falls on stage.

- The Book reps make sense kinda

- Tommy, The Pinball Wizard is a blind guy who wins a bunch of Pinball tournaments. Universal copies the whole plot of the film to make The Wizard BTW. He originates from The Who’s classic song “Pinball Wizard”.

- TV exists

If someone decided that they would ONLY play as characters from games that they’ve played (with no exceptions), how would they be able to play as ROB?
I’d say they could play as ROB if they’ve played any of these games:

Gyromite
Stack-Up
Mario Kart DS
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (because it’s an important character in Subspace Emissary)

but they aren't originally from video games. if any character who has a game but isnt originally from it then goku could get in because there are dragonball games

Well I googled it and it says that it will be a character called “Travis Touchdown”
There's also some people thinking it will be a character named “Geno”

They're owned by Square Enix and they already appear in the game as a spirit, so I don't think there should be much issue with Geno being able to become a full fighter
