direction of sprite sensing block is gone?

Yes it still exists.

You can only normally access the “direction of sprite” block from another sprite or from the backdrop/stage code area.

So either create a second sprite or look for this block from the backdrop area.

The reason “direction of sprite” does not normally appear in a one sprite project is that you could then use the motion block “direction” instead.

direction of sprite sensing block is gone?

Thanks but can you please explain more how to find it? I do have 2 sprites. I am trying to “shoot” fireballs in the direction of another character. The fireball sprite needs the direction of the character. How/where do I get it (maybe a screen shot)? Many thanks!!!!

By default, the block in sensing is referred to as
([backdrop # v] of [Stage v])
but if you change the Stage selection to a sprite, it unlocks more options for the first dropdown, allowing you to get the direction.

What does it mean to “change the Stage selection to a sprite”? Thanks so much for your help!

I think @CatsUnited's post sums up what to do. If you're still struggling, I suggest you make a new post about your question rather than posting on an existing thread. That way more people will see your question and can help you!
