I’ve seen some links on projects that go to these forums with YouTube videos so that it hides comments and other content. How do I do that? I’m trying to do it for a project but I don’t know how to.

Post a link to your YouTube video here, in the forums. Then when you go to the link, it automatically converts the link into the one you want. Just use the URL at the top of the page when you see the video.

Example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7uIH0eb7sNo

It turns into: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/7uIH0eb7sNo/

The link doesn't automatically turn into something, you have to click on the link, and then copy and paste the URL that appears at the top of the resulting webpage.

Do both links in my post above lead to the same place for you?

To reduce spam, try putting the forum link (WITH THE LINK BBCODE) in your siggy. Then you can hit preview siggy, click on the link, and not spam the forums/
