Personally I'd just casually ask for help rather than framing it as a competition.
Anyway, what is the webcomic about? How will the writer be credited? What do they get in return for writing the motif?

The webcomic is about some alien kids playing a videogame that ends the world. The writer will be credited along with the other people involved, in this: Credits
Which can be accessed directly from the comic's page.
As for what they get in return from writing the motif, well. What exactly would you like from it? This comic isn't a project I'm earning money from (if it was, I'd commission someone for this instead of coming here for help, however music commissions are often.. expensive), so no one will be paid.

I didn’t mean money, just any sort of thanks for writing the piece. It’s just kinda odd to have a competition where the winner gives you free music.
