Can be really rude and doesn't like Kyra and Brodie.

Mr Thawbourn has short brown hari (pretty young), most of the students like him but he can be strict when things get out of hand. (sorry, I'm in a rush)

Here is what I got so far:
Outline
Kyra finds something out from Minni-Jai during detention possible about a family member that went missing and that's why she's acting out or some info about the murderer

He seats them next to each other on the other side of his office. He goes over the detention rules. Minni-Jai keeps whispering rude remarks to Kyra. They both get an extra day of detention for that. Minni-Jai pleads to Mr. Thawbourn to excuse her. She tries to get his pity by telling him that her mother went missing and that it wasn’t her fault that she was in trouble.

Writing
“What?!?” Minni-Jai protested but she went silent as she met Mr. Thawbourn’s stern gaze. Kyra ducked her head to hide her smile as she walked to Mr. Thawbourn’s desk.

(Kyra and Mr. Thawboun’s conversation) “See you at lunch!” he waved as he handed her a late slip and sent her off to her next class.

After ___ class, Kyra slinked over to Mr. Thawbourn’s. She waited by the doorway as the (lower grade) students shoved their way out, eager for lunch. When the last student filed out, Kyra reluctantly entered the classroom. There were two desks that were pushed in front of Mr. Thawborn’s desk and Kyra took a seat. The only sounds in the room were the crunches of Mr. Thawboun eating his sandwich as she studied the scratches on her desk. Something really pointy must have made these marks. The thought sent shivers down her spine. She forced her mind to change topics. She thought about her friends eating lunch without her but that thought was not any more pleasant. She then remembered that Minni-Jai was supposed to be here. Where was she? That horrible brat- She looked up to see Minni-Jai striding backward through the doorway as she waved bye to her followers with an eye roll.

“We were waiting for you.” Mr. greeted. He didn’t seem to be very pleased about Minni-Jai’s tardy. Maybe this would mean he would be easier on me. Kyra thought as Minni-Jai slid into the seat next to her.

I think it would be cool if Joanne was Minni-Jai's mum, the one who goes missing.

Kyra stepped into the Maths classroom ahead of Evie and held the door open for her. Evie tottered into the room, filled with nerves. Minni-Jai pointed at Evie’s foot and sniggered causing a rippled effect for all her minions to join in with the laughing. In seconds Kyra was squaring up to Minni-Jai. Brodie realized what was going to happen and ran over to try and restrain her. ”Kyra this isn’t what you want,” Brodie pleaded.
Kyra punched Minni-Jai hard in the face, knocking her out of her chair. Kyra crouched down and spat, ”Don’t you dare laugh at any of my friends again or you’ll be getting some déjà vu.”
”You an-” Minni-Jai started but stopped when she noticed Mr Thawbourn standing in the room, he’d witnessed it all.
”Kyra!” he bellowed and she walked over to him. ”I expect better from you Miss Breight. What do you have to say for yourself?”
”Well, I 100% meant it and I want to beat her up a thousand times over!”
”Miss Breight if that’s how you feel then I guess you’ll be staying in with me for lunch all week.” he had a stern look on his face, Kyra knew he wouldn’t let her off the hook. ”It’s 9:08 and you’ve already landed yourself a weeks detention. This isn’t a great way to start your week.”
Kyra glared at Mr Thawbourn before she trudged to her usual seat at the back of the class with Evie and Brodie. ”Now class please pull out your textbooks and start filling out page 312, you can all thank Kyra.”
Everyone grumbled loudly and scowled at Kyra as they took out their textbook and flipped pages furiously. ”Kyra come out for your laptop please,” Mr Thawbourn put the laptop on his desk, ready for Kyra to come take back to her desk.
”Thank you,” she murmured under her breath, taking the laptop back to her seat.

Kyra had Aichmophobia, a fear of sharp objects such as needles, pencils or knives. That meant that Kyra couldn’t do written work without having a break down because of the stationary she was required to use. Because of that the school felt obliged to provide her with a laptop to use for written work. People sometimes tried to tease her and they’d get detentions pretty quickly for it. However most people did it quite discretely, taunting her with freshly sharpened pencils.

”That’s us for today guys, pack your bags and on you go,” Mr Thawbourn went over to the door and held it open for Evie who was rushing to get out of the room and beat the traffic.
Kyra and Brodie went to leave after her, ”Miss Breight, come here, I want a word.”
Kyra sighed and shuffled over to him at his desk. Minni-Jai sniggered as she walked out of the room. ”That’s a detention for you at lunch Miss Tricket.”
“What?!?” Minni-Jai protested but she went silent as she met Mr. Thawbourn’s stern gaze. Kyra ducked her head to hide her smile as she walked to Mr. Thawbourn’s desk.
Minni-Jai sighed in the doorway but in seconds she was out of sight. ”Kyra after all the work we’ve done together I honestly can’t believe you wouldn’t control your anger and hold in a punch. A punch!”
Kyra did nothing except stare at Mr. Thawbourn with her signature death stare.
”Evie can fight her own battles Kyra, leave it to her. She’s a strong-minded person, just like you
”How can she? Her leg is in a splint!” Kyra countered fiercely, she had a lot of un-used energy inside her, bursting to explode from inside her.
”I get that but did you think of the consequences before you acted?” Mr. Thawbourn pointed out, he already knew she didn’t though.
”No, of course not.”
”Remember to think before you do something irrational, ok?”
Kyra nodded and just sighed.
”Have you talked to your parents about getting therapy yet?” Mr Thawbourn’s face turned all soft and caring, he really cared for Kyra, in fact for all of his students but Kyra especially.
”No, I’ve said I’m not going to ever tell them about it or I’m gonna be mad as!” Kyra shouted, suddenly panicking, had he already told them?
”I haven’t told them, don’t worry. It is seriously worth thinking about Kyra, having me help isn’t going to do enough,” he sighed, trying to put on a convincing voice like Kyra did. ”I’m just a geography teacher, not a therapist.”
”You’re acting like I’m a helpless case,” she growled but it got to her the way he spoke to her, the way you do to small kids, like primary ones. ”You’re just trying to dump my problem onto someone else, I’m a dead weight to you!”
Mr Thawbourn gasped in her sudden raise of noise level and show of emotion, ”Kyra th-”
”No, you listen!” she glanced at the door checking the it was closed before she set off. ”I find it difficult to control my anger and I’m sorry if it’s too difficult but you were tasked by the school to work with me so you have to do it and can’t try to refer me to someone else!”
”Kyra you need to take deep breaths, try our exercises. Breath…” he had a soothing tone of voice, sweet and polite.
Kyra did as she was told, it felt good to let off some steam. ”I’m sorry,” she bowed her head after a few deep breaths.
”I think we’ll be continuing our meetings, daily I think.”
Kyra nodded, ”What time?”
”Same as usual, after lunch everyday except for Wednesday. On Wednesday first thing. That’s the only time Miss Alexis doesn’t fill in for me after lunches.”
”I’ll be there Sir, don’t I have to?”
Mr Thawbourn nodded “See you at lunch!” he waved as he handed her a late slip and sent her off to her next class.

What I've got so far:

”You will seriously not believe what Minni-Jai told me!” Kyra came sprinting over to them the second her detention had finished and Mr. Thawbourn had dismissed her and Minni-Jai.
”Really Ky? If we won’t believe you then why are you going to tell us?” Evie laughed at how enthusiastic but solemn Kyra had been acting.
”Who ever said I was gonna tell you?” Kyra sat down next to Brodie.
Brodie pretend punched Kyra in the stomach a few times, ”You better Kyra!”
”I will, I will.” she gave in to a wide smile before she scolded herself inside her head.
”Well…” Evie started for her.
”You know how Minni-Jai was acting a whole lot worse than usual?” Kyra asked, making sure everyone knew what she was talking about.
Brodie nodded. ”She’s always been a jerk to me but yeah, she was considerably worse today.

“We were waiting for you.” Mr. greeted. He didn’t seem to be very pleased about Minni-Jai’s tardy. Maybe this would mean he would be easier on me. Kyra thought as Minni-Jai slid into the seat next to her.
Minni-Jai glared at Kyra as if this whole thing was Kyra’s fault. Kyra glared back. They glared at each other for a good five minutes. Their stares became more intense with every second but finally, Mr. Thawbourn interrupted,
“Come on girls. Stop trying to kill each other with your laser eyes.” Both girls redirected their glares at Mr. Thawbourn. If it was any other time with any other person, Kyra might have laughed at Mr. Thawbourn’s joke but right now her face was plastered frozen with seriousness. Minni-Jai muttered under her breath but just loud enough for only Kyra to hear it,
“You freak keep dragging me into trouble.” Minni-Jai smirked as she watched Kyra’s ears burn up and her fingers clench into tight fists. Kyra fought back the urge to pummel Minni-Jai with a flurry of punches. She glanced a Mr. Thawbourn looked fairly glad they were not competing in a death stare contest. She whispered back,
“If you don’t want trouble, then you should stop picking on my friends. If anyone is a freak, it’s you.”
“Your friends are losers and so are you. You all deserve to be picked on.”
“Don’t you dare call Evie a loser! The only loser here is you!”
“Kyra!” Mr. Thawbourn warned. Kyra froze again. This time in fear. Minni-Jai held back a snicker.
“Both of you enough with the trash talk. Both of you earned yourselves another detention.” Mr. Thawbourn scolded, standing up from his desk to peer over them. As if on cue Minni-Jai glare spilled with tears. As Kyra watched Minni-Jai bawl out like a baby, she felt her fear melted a little to know that Minni-Jai had also been caught. The relief did not last long when Mr. Thawboun walked to Minni-Jai and bent down to stroke her back. It was all just to trick for Mr. Thawnourn’s pity, Kyra scowled.
“Is something wrong Minni-Jai? Does one detention really upset you this much?” Mr. Thawbourn asked comfortingly with a tone that he was hinting at something more serious and deeper than one detention.
“My mother’s missing.” Minni-Jai blurted out, her sobs doubling in size. What an excuse? Kyra thought, folding her arms and turning away.
“I’m so sorry.” Mr. Thawbourn apologized, handing Minni-Jai a tissue. “Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you and your family.” How could Mr. Thawbourn even believe her stupid story so easily? Kyra rolled her eyes.
“Thanks,” Minni-Jai said as she wrapped Mr. Thawbourn in a hug. This was too much. Minni-Jai’s acting had gone too far. Kyra asked skeptically,
“What do you mean your mother is missing?”
Mr. Thawbourn looked ready to punish Kyra for asking something so rude but Minni-Jai paused her tears to explain,
“She just went out to run errands and never came back. The police have been searching for over a week now and they still can’t find any sign of her. Haven’t you seen the ‘lost’ signs about her? We put them up last week.” At that, even Kyra felt bad for Minni-Jai.
“So you knew about this?” Kyra asked Mr. Thawbourn. He nodded solemnly. Then looked expectantly at Kyra. What? Kyra motioned with her eyes but Mr. Thawbourn’s face did not waver.
“Sorry for asking that.” Kyra apologized with a sigh.
“It’s fine.” Minni-Jai accepted insincerely. She turned to Mr. Thawbourn.
“Do I still have to go to detention tomorrow?” She asked with puppy dog eyes.
“Well, you both were not talking very nicely and need to learn your lessons but I’ll make you a deal. You both can be excused from one detention if you go have a visit with the school therapist.” Mr. Thawbourn answered, making eye contact with Minni-Jai then Kyra with his lips curling into a sly smile.
“Okay fine but both of you have to promise to not tell anyone.” Minni-Jai agreed.
“Of course I promise not to tell anyone anything we talked about here.” Mr. Thawbourn replied right away. “Miss Kyra will have to promise too if she doesn’t want another detention.”
“Fine. I promise.” Kyra agreed reluctantly.
“Would you like to take my deal, Kyra? Mr. Thawbourn reminded Kyra trying to entice her to take it.
“Fine. I’ll go.” Kyra agreed. Mr. Thawbourn nodded with a smile and her opened his computer to check the therapist’s schedule.
“Minni-Jai your appointment will be tomorrow during second period. Kyra yours is tomorrow during fifth period.”
The bell rang and Kyra and Minni-Jai got up from their desks and headed door.
“I’ll see you tomorrow at lunch, Kyra. Don’t forget that you still have a week of detention.” Mr. Thawbourn reminded Kyra with a stern but kind grin. Kyra replied with a grunt and a nod as she stomped towards the door.
“At least at therapy I won’t have to be with her.” Minni-Jai mouthed as she cut Kyra out the door and left for her next class.

Evie nodded as well. “I agree She really has been a jerk. Oh yeah, thanks for standing up for me before. But a week of detention? Was it really worth it?”
“Of course! I won’t let anyone treat you like that. But the reason she has been so mean is because her mother went missing last week. I do not know how she has kept it a secret at school for so long.” Kyra answered breaking her promise to Mr. Thawbourn and Minni-Jai. Did she really promise not to talk about the therapy or that Minni-Jai’s mother went missing? That is the question. Kyra chose the first option. Kyra waited for her friends’ reactions. They both looked very shocked but Evie’s face had traces of annoyance and concern lurked underneath Broodie’s. Once they both regained their voices they both said over each other,
“Well, she still should not have taken her grief out on us.” “Oh no, that is horrible. How did it happen?” Kyra nodded in agreement to both of them before replying to Broodie,
“She does not know. She just never came back from running errands.” Kyra shrugged when her friends looked at her with disappointment. The story was so boring.
“Do you really believe her? She has lied so many times before, especially to get out of trouble.” Broodie asked. She was just as skeptical as Kyra had been.
“Well, that is what I thought but Mr. Thawbourn seemed to know about it already. Apparently there were posters around saying that her mom was lost and that people should look for her.” Kyra explained. She added, “And Mr. Thawbourn seemed extremely worried.”
“Where do you think her mother is? Do you think she is still ali-” Evie asked with worry.
Suddenly the bell rang, telling the friends that the passing period was almost over so they shut their lockers and strapped on their backpacks.
“We can talk about this later.” Kyra suggested. “See ya!”
They all rushed off in different directions to their different classes.

They all rushed off in different directions to their different classes. Minni-Jai was in P.E. too. Usually Kyra did not like having classes with Minni-Jai but today she wanted to eavesdrop for more information on Minni-Jai’s missing mother. It would not be too difficult because Minni-Jai and her followers always just hung out in the back of the court and talked right in the middle of a dodge ball game. Kyra was always annoyed when they did that because she was very competitive but today their laziness would be to her advantage. Kyra tightened her grip on her drawstring bag with excitement and determination as she walked into the locker room to change.
