Recently, the Scratch App (Formerly “Offline Editor”) released for Chrome OS/Android. So far, it works amazing!
But, I think that it needs to be available through an APK file. (APK files are the application file type on Android) Not everyone has Google Play, and I think having an option to download the APK would reach a much larger audience. For example, if the APK file was available for download, users could use the App on Kindles. While I do actually have Google Play installed on my Kindle, Scratch App is “not compatible”, so I can't download it.

Please consider this.

No Support. The whole reason on not having APK is to reject installation from unsupported devices. Also, installing things from APK can make some security concerns.

I didn't even know the Scratch App is now available on Android. Does Android have computers?

Android in an OS that is generally found in Phones and Tablets. There are some Android computers, but they are more so just tablets with a keyboard. Here's some examples.
