Pong! A new game by Mystery Man Games!

Hello! I am here to show you my game named Pong! It is a fun game and it has lots of features. It was originally released on October 27th, 2019, but it got broken so now it should say like November 7th or something. Anyways without further ado, let's get onto the actual game! First, the features. There are lots of features in this game. There is single player which has three modes and an A.I that my friend help me with to code. You can control your paddle by using w and s or up and down arrows. There is easy, medium and hard. And there is actually another mode but it is a secret mode and you will have to find out what it is. Anyways, easy is pretty self explanatory, it's pretty easy. Medium brings it up a notch and it is harder. And hard is very hard and you might lose from it! Anyways, now for multiplayer. For multiplayer, there are two modes, normal and juggle mode. Normal is where one person is P1 which uses w and s for the controls, and another is P2 which uses up and down arrow keys for their controls. It's basically like single player but with no A.I and you can play with a friend! Next is juggle mode. Juggle mode is to see how much times you can bounce the ball with 2 players. Every time the ball hits a paddle, it changes by 1. The highscore is on the top and your score is on the bottom. So if you want to get competitive, use that mode! I didn't want to use juggle mode in single player because it already has 3 modes, playing with an A.I like that is just not fun sometimes as the A.I would be bad or overpowered, and I had no idea how I could do it. Anyways, next is practice mode. It's basically just bouncing a ball on your paddle and there is no A.I paddle so basically you can't lose. If it hits the edge of your side, it will go to the middle and restart. If it bounces on the other side, it will just bounce off. So yeah nothing much for that. Next is credits but thats boring so we are going to skip it. Settings are not a thing yet and is just there for aesthetic. So now next is debug mode. Press d for random jumbles of numbers. They do mean something though. Anyways, we just reached 20 views and I wanted to spread the word even more because I think my game can entertain a lot of people. Anyways, if you are reading to the end, thank you, I didn't actually think you would read all this. Anyways, please check out my game, thank you, and bye!

Edit 1 : I forgot to mention the game is not broken anymore. So you can play it now!

Edit 2 : Forgot the link. Thank you to NotAJumbleOfNumbers for mentioning it! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/339697876

I think your pong game has potential! I liked your usage of pressing the 1 and 9 keys to display the thumbnail, and the scrolling credits.
and also that impossible mode dear lord

Here are a few suggestions for you:
- You have separate backgrounds for every mode, but they're all the same. Perhaps try making some of the backgrounds different?
- There's no link to the game in the original post, which is crucial for getting people to view your project.
- There's no settings
- The four paddles being used seem a bit redundant. Try using two instead and have a game mode variable that tells the paddles how they should behave
- In “Juggle”, the two numbers shown should be explained more clearly. What do they mean?
- The AI uses glide and wait blocks, which makes its movement feel choppy. I suggest looking over it and think about changing it.
- I noticed you used “death barrier” sprites for checking for if the ball had gone past the paddle. You can check instead for if the x position of the ball is greater than/less than a number, which does the same thing but without the hassle of additional sprites.
- Lastly, and this is more complex than the other suggestions so I don't blame you if you don't put this in, try using a different method of ball movement that doesn't rely on its angle, like keeping track of its x and y speed and changing it appropriately when it hits something.

Hello! Thank you for the suggestions! I will use them for my game! Except for using different colors for backgrounds. I wanted to give this game an old aesthetic with the black and white pixels like the original pong. The only exception to this is the color red which is used for secret modes and the text. Also, settings are coming soon. Might remove the settings until I actually release it because of all the people mentioning it, Other than that, thank you!
