How many times can you be muted?
I have an alt that has now been muted 3 times…
(for saying nothing wrong, by the way! The first time I posted a comment backward, the second time I went back to that thread where my friends were having a backward conversation and said that was why I got muted, and the third time I was talking to a friend about whether or not advertising was okay. But anyway.)
…and I'm beginning to get anxious. How many times can you be muted before you get blocked or something?
Thank you so much!

If a user is muted repeatedly, the Scratch Team are likely to issue a ban.But that isn't exactly clear. Would someone please clarify?
Thank you so much!

It's unclear because it varies, depending on what the user did.

Okay, considering I did pretty much nothing, I feel a bit better. Is muting the only automatic punishment, before it goes to actual people? It's unclear because it varies, depending on what the user did.

Mutes are auto-triggered when the robot word filter think you posted something bad. The robot filter then sends a message to the Scratch Team asking for the comment to be reviewed. The Scratch Team then either dismisses the robot filter's alert if it's a false positive, or sends a notification to the user if it's a true positive.
So it's less about the number of times you get muted, but more about the number of times the Scratch Team determines if the robot filter triggered on a true positive. The more true positives you rack, the more likely the Scratch Team feels that you're not careful about what you're posting. Otherwise, if you think the mute is a false positive, then there's no need to worry about it when that happens.
FYI: Intentionally spelling stuff incorrectly (or backwards in your case) is more likely to trigger the robot word filter falsely (because the filter will think you're intentionally using bad spelling or grammar to avoid the filter to post something super bad). The best way to avoid triggering the robot word filter unintentionally is to use good spelling and good punctuation. (Of course, this website is full of kids and users who might speak a different language, but the robot filter is a lot more forgiving in those cases).

Thank you so so much! So, to be clear, I'm completely fine because I haven't gotten any notifications? I've only gotten the message from the filterbot, not from the ST. Wow, so basically if one isn't good at grammar and spelling, he/she's going to get muted? Mutes are auto-triggered when the robot word filter think you posted something bad. Only if you do it intentionally to the point where the filter think you're trying to evade it. As indicated in the the last sentence of the last paragraph, the filter is more forgiving in cases in cases where the misspelling and grammar is unintentional, much less forgiving if you're doing it on purpose!Wow, so basically if one isn't good at grammar and spelling, he/she's going to get muted? But how can Scratch know whether the person's misspellings are intentional or not?

It's a bit complicated to explain fully, but generally speaking, people who post with intentional bad spelling or grammar actually have a pattern they follow (because they have to think how to purposely post badly), and the word filter picks up on that.Only if you do it intentionally to the point where the filter think you're trying to evade it. As indicated in the the last sentence of the last paragraph, the filter is more forgiving in cases in cases where the misspelling and grammar is unintentional, much less forgiving if you're doing it on purpose!

By the way, users who necropost because they don't know it's against the rules will generally not know what a necropost is. Care to define?
A necropost is when a user says something on an old topic that does not contribute to the discussion, or they respond to an answered question that is old. That is against the rules; please do not do that; it's an irrelevant bump, which is spam.
