I frequently keep my monitor at 0 brightness, yet it's still quite bright.
Because of this, I do think that Scratch needs a dark mode. But it won't just change the white background to a darker colour, it'd also change the block colours to be darker.
People have said about the block colours before here, and it is a good idea to alter the block colours as well. It'd just make sense

Yes. I do know how to change the brightness, but I can barely see the keys when it is dark enough to not hurt my eyes. When it's too much for my eyes, I can see what I'm typing. Problems like this are why we need a Scratch Dark Mode.

I'd love to just have a little option when editing your profile or an option to change the theme in settings.
I, personally, would not only use it at night time/day time. But, recently, I have been making a lot of space and Halloween themed projects and it would look so much cooler if you could have a black background when watching projects like that in full screen for the full effect.
I've said it before and I'll say it again,
Scratchteam, please, please please please please please, implement a dark theme to Scratch and LISTEN TO US!
If you think anything against it and think it would look awful, just make it optional whether you want a light theme or dark theme. Everyone's happy!
I personally think that this would look amazing, especially as Halloween is coming up, let me know what you think by replying to this post!

You can write “support”, “semi-support”, or “no support” to a suggestion, then state a reason why.

dark theme would be amazing. There is actually a Chrome extension for a scratch dark theme, but it's really buggy and I sometimes can't read text because of it. So I'm all for official dark theme on scratch, and it would be nice for me having dark theme on every single website I use.

It would be awesome if the Scratch Team added a dark mode! I agree with this, because after going on scratch for a while my eyes go funny and they hurt. I support this idea!

I did recently see on GitHub that the developers are discussing adding the dark mode. I can't seem to find the issue again though - that's quite annoying.
