What is a class? And how do you make one?
A class is, well, a class! It's more or less a studio where students create and share classroom projects, managed by a teacher.
To make one, go to the For Educators page and scroll all the way to the bottom, where you'll see ‘Request Account’. If and when the Scratch Team approves the account after it's been registered, the teacher has the ability to create a classroom and invite students' accounts.
More about classes and teacher accounts here.
I hope this helps.
