We're still paying money for a once-free service. That alone is inexcusable.

Well, at least it was free at one point, I'm just glad that it isn't sixty bucks a year.

page 12, this was a complete edit.

No.

  • We can't download the games, so when the servers shut down in a few years time, all the SNES games will be unusable forever.
  • None of the other problems with the service are fixed.
  • It took A YEAR to get some SNES games.
  • The games aren't releasing monthly anymore.

I'm still extremely glad we got SNES games, but they don't fix the online service.

It seems AnotherOne isn't at ease, and has a lot of anger.

If AnotherOne is so concerned about having SNES games permanently on AnotherOne's Switch, maybe AnotherOne could do like One and find a place to download every ROM that exists for the SNES. The files aren't too big. Then buy AnotherOneSelf a fairly large SD card and mod AnotherOneSelf's switch. Use a HomeBrew emulator?

One sees that SNES games are important to AnotherOne, but AnotherOne dislikes how Nintendo are handling them on the Switch.

It was fun. But One has grown bored of the Scratch forums. It is different from years ago, the good times One remembers. This account is of no use now, so One will delete it.

I WISH I could mod my Switch, but I'll be kicked off of online if I do that.

Ah, One sees. Perhaps once the DeveloperOnes of AtmosphereNX have perfected their EmuNAND, AnotherOne will create a separate EmuNAND for playing modded content, and another for running a stock system.

Same here, but rather than the reason being online play, the reason I haven't is that my parents won't allow me to until my warranty expires (which I get, I'm not too terribly careful with electronics, but come on, my New Nintendo 3DS has nary a scratch, and the only damage on my Switch is on the screen protector).

Hehe… One's 3DS is broken in many places from replacing the SD a tad too often

Plus, haven't most patches broken something related to Switch modding?

Ah yes, my 3DS that I totally have that isn’t a 2DS that I got just after the NEW 2DS was announced!

(FYI it’s not in my closet, it’s on the top of a cubby shelf thing in my room)

Yeah, it's a bit of a waste not to mod your 3DS. Nothing bad can come of it. Boot9Strap + Luma3DS is a very nice thing to have.

Yes, it’s a total waste to illegally modify my game console that I’m completely content with as it is

(Yeah, I did just complain about getting it after the New 2DS was announced, so that would make it seem like I’m NOT content with it. But I’m not bothered by the New 2DS thing anymore, and I don’t know how to finish this series of sentences so I’ll just stop here)

Yeah, Ninty changes the keys and TSEC firmware so the devs have to pwn it again. Takes less than day usually.

It's perfectly legal to hack systems.

What do we think of the Nintendo Switch Online Membership?

I think it's worth it! (Unpopular opinion?)
-$20 for a year is not a bad price at all. We could easily be paying $5 a month, similar to online games. That would reach $60 a year to play, let's say, Splatoon 2.
- That $20 goes towards games such as Pokemon Quest, Tetris 99 and the NES system. These games could cost $0.99 on the Nintendo E-shop. Getting those NES games PLUS new ones each month easily comes up to around $20.
-Members also get benefits, remember that.
-I understand that Virtual Console is an issue, but we got that with the 3ds/2ds and I think it's fine to take a new approach.
-The only thing I wish we had was Miiverse. A TON of the people playing games aren't allowed to have Twitter. So bringing Miiverse back as a child-friendly social media platform would be great.
