Scratch 3.0 Mobile

What if there was an app… for Scratch 3.0? Well it would optimize the Scratch site for users with ANY phone size on ANY os (iOS, Android, etc) Well that's when Scratch 3.0 Mobile comes in! Optimized for playing mobile games on Scratch. To get your project on Scratch Mobile you need to enable it in your project settings. We only want optimized for mobile games on Scratch Mobile 3.0. It will be on iOS and Android. You will be able to sign in to your Scratch account and comment, post to the forums, and do social things on Scratch. Although there WILL not be an editor for the mobile version, you will be able to link your phone to Scratch Link to make projects that use phones as controllers.
Scratch Link for Scratch Mobile 3.0
Linking your phone to your computer using Scratch Link unlocks MORE projects and MORE blocks in the editor. It works as if you was linking a normal device, you just link your iphone to the website using bluetooth. There will be many blocks available, but i'm too lazy to type it all lol.
The website would be scratch.mit.edu/mobile but it isn't official. There will be a bar at the bottom of the app and that is how you navigate!
That's the end of my idea for NOW
Remember!!

How can we know the blocks you want if you don't write them?

I decided that there will be blocks from the Go Force extension.
All the blocks from the Go Force extension will be ported over for phones
Also there will be able to have something else display on the phone but not on the computer (aka xbox gamepad on your phone)
People will be able to say if their game is MOBILE-COMPATIBLE!

I'm also gonna do concept art soon

Also we need coders. If you want to be a coder just say “CODE”.

Thanks for your interest!

(P.S Also the force block and force sensor block won't be ported to phones)

That's… Quite a lot for a mobile app.
I like the idea of tagging projects for “Mobile use”, but I don't think it necessarily means that it's only for mobile use. There are computers that utilize touch screens which those projects can work just as well on.

As far as an actual app, I believe that Apple doesn't allow apps that access any type of coding platforms, including Scratch.

Scratch Link. Good idea, but I don't think that's the best way to approach it. Not many computers have Bluetooth as part of their hardware specs, but this could change in the future. Perhaps a (wireless) LAN connection may be better?

We can host it on this website called Diawi. It's free to use and simple too! All we have to do is upload the .ipa file (aka the app file) and upload the link! All they need to do is click the link and hit “Install App”.

Also Mobile Use actually also means it can be on PC too! It just enables it to be on the MOBILE version. Because it wouldn't fit if you needed a computer keyboard to play the game! Although the mobile keyboard will only appear when the user clicks the KEYBOARD button

If the computer doesn't have bluetooth, they can download the Scratch Link app on their pc and use just a WI-FI connection to connect to their phone!

I also saw someone pull off a Scratch 2.0 app. He just put up the .ipa file! The original post is here.

If they pulled it off with Scratch 2.0, we can pull it off too! We could say something like this

"To get Scratch 3.0 Mobile, go to this link and click download. Then click here to make a link to download the app to your phone".

All we need is art (to draw the art (aka the interface, etc) say ART), coders (to help code the app, say CODE), and our brains.

Trust me, we can pull it off

Also, my computer ACTUALLY HAS A TOUCHSCREEN.

So is there anymore questions?

Anyways, Thanks for your interest! Goodbye!

Now you're expecting everyone to have a “pc” (whatever THAT stands for.)

@coder2045 stop insulting my app, androids will get all the same and pc stands for “personal computer”. Laptops will be able to use this too.

Many people say pc, it isn't some random shortened word.

if you think it's broken, help me fix it.

I'll have to do that I bet. Scratch said it was against their rules to upload a direct download link. So I guess I need to make a NON direct download link.

They notified me that I wasn't supposed to do it. They deleted all the download links. But it was for a good cause.

So I guess i'll try to get the downloads up again

But through something like OneDrive.

It's because people could hide malware.

Scratch 3.0 Mobile

I'd love to have Scratch 3.0 as a mobile app but I feel that with the current resolution (480 x 360) of Scratch projects, it just wouldn't fit well, especially with touch screen control optimized projects.

Adjust the size of the projects on mobile. That works!
