Select a sprite you would like to put the sound in, then click “Sounds” and hover on the bottom icon in the costumes bar. Click “Upload Sound”, select any sound and you're done! Scratch will import it fast.

Well, any song website that lets you download the song should work.

Referring back to the original post…
There are websites that allow you to download YouTube videos as .mp3 or .wav files that you can upload to scratch. I use ytmp3.cc frequently to do so.

Signatures can be created by going to the discussion homepage, Scroll to the bottom of the page, then you should see an option that says something like change your signature. Press that, put what you want in it, then save. Just know that there is a maximum viewing size for a signature (I think 200 pixels), although it won't show your signature accurately until you view one of your posts you've made. You can see this in my signature, where the image is cut off.

If you look in the options list for the text box, the fifth option from the left (It should look like a picture frame with a tree in it) is an image insert option. When you click this, you will be prompted to provide a URL. Using an image hosting website is an easy method to do this (cubeupload is a free method, although it requires making an account). When you paste the URL and press the preview button (the checkmark), it will show your image.
