New Extension Suggestion: "Lunar Calendar"

I'm making a Google simulator right now (because I can't access Google) and I'm having
trouble with the holiday detector. It cannot detect Easter or the Chinese Spring Festival without
the Lunar Calendar extension.

Please add the extension.

current [lunar year v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [lunar month v] :: reporter #2020ff // Shows 1.5 or 2.5 or etc. if an extra month exists
current [lunar date v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [Islam year v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [Islam month v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [Islam date v] :: reporter #2020ff

Support! Although this is kind of useless, it would still be nice to have.

This could be useful for like texture changes without modifiying the project at the time then readding back the old textures, altough this would make projects bigger and force the ST to change the size limit

Semi-Support

It's very useful to detect the Easter holiday without making changes constantly.

Makes sense, I could see that being useful if you wanted to have a special event in your game on Easter, or something like that.

I'm actually making a holiday detector for my Google project,
and I already have Christmas, Thanksgiving, and so on.
However, I can't do Easter without the lunar calendar.

Look at the definition of Easter

When supporting, please explain why. If you don't have reasons to support, then please don't post. Remember - it's the Scratch team who makes decisions on what to remove from/add to Scratch, and Scratchers should help to improve the suggestion, and say why is the suggestion (not) useful (without saying the same reasons over and over again). They shouldn't just “vote” by saying “support” or “no support”.

Also add the Hebrew calendar and the Gregorian calendar (it's missing).

Please don't bump topics that aren't yours.

The Gregorian calendar is the modern calendar, by the way.

In my one year's experience of forum helping, I've not seen a single regulation like that. Anyone is allowed to bump a topic.

I'm not good with lunar time, so I'm not going to say whether I want this or not yet, but after some study.

The Lunar Calendar is also useful to detect if a solar/lunar eclipse is going to happen.

In my 5 years and 3 months experience of being on Scratch without a break, I can confirm that there is no such rule.

New Extension Suggestion: "Lunar Calendar"

There are many types of calendars in this world - maybe there could be a universal calendar extension?

set calendar to [lunar calendar v] :: stack #2020ff
current [year of calendar v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [month of calendar v] :: reporter #2020ff
current [date of calendar v] :: reporter #2020ff

I'm not trying to defend my religion or something (I'm an agnostic) but there are more religions and languages that have historical calendars, you know. It's not a problem if the Scratch Team doesn't cover all of them, the mostly used ones are enough.

The different years trend for languages is especially known in India.
