Re-add "Echo" Sound Effect
The “Echo” sound effect in the Sound Editor was in 3.0 before the update today (8/1/19), but now it's removed.
I understand that the Sound Editor may seem overwhelming with all of these features, but it was a cool effect.
Please add it back.

Re-add "Echo" Sound Effect
I think it's because using the echo effect on a selected portion doesn't really sound as echoey if the trailing echo sounds at the end weren't included. If it did, it would sound a bit awkward for the echoey portion to play, echo off, then for the rest of the audio to suddenly resume. It also isn't exactly desirable for the trailing echo to overlap with the audio outside the selection

This is my signature. It appears below all my posts. Discuss it on my profile, not the forums. Here's how to make your own.

True, but you don't have to just make the selection echoey, you could make the whole sound echo. Re-add "Echo" Sound Effect
Just gonna throw this out there; not meant to shut down your suggestion.
The developers felt that, with all these new features, the sound editor would be overwhelming with all these different features. It was a tough call to determine what to get rid of, but eventually they decided on the Echo effect. At least they didn't get rid of more than one effect!
Glad they still kept the Robot effect.

That makes sense. Just gonna throw this out there; not meant to shut down your suggestion.

Well dang, I guess that explains why.
Support, even though I guess the sound editor would be overwhelming, I would want this back. The effect could be useful for certain purposes, like for example, there might be some dialogue in a game, the person speaking could be in a cave, so the echo effect would make the game more realistic. So yeah, skadoosh.

Re-add "Echo" Sound Effect
The echo effect was my favourite button, it was really fun because it could turn almost any sound into a cool new noise, now its gone im really disappointed because it was one of my favourite things to do on scratch.

Support, this could be useful for DJ freaks. Not to mention bands that try out Scratch.

Support, because I made a duplicate topic on this saying how this should be added back.
Really? When were these blocks removed? Well, here's thischange [echo v] effect by (10)::soundHowever, they where removed
set [echo v] effect to (10)::sound
That is understandable, and maybe this is why it got removed(instead of maybe the robot feature) in the first place. I think it's because using the echo effect on a selected portion doesn't really sound as echoey if the trailing echo sounds at the end weren't included. Support. They had it in the past, why not re-add it? Also about the selected echo part, you can make it seem to die out, then pick it up.

Semi-support. I loved the echo feature and would like it back, but it's still present on offline. On the other hand you could:
Download Scratch Offline
Load your sounds into the offline editor and “echonate” them.
Import it back onto online and put the sounds in your backpack.
Now you have the sounds!
but still im too lazy to do that so i just use online echonate websites

!!!
it's–

it's actually gone
I never really used it anyway (I used Audacity) but it seems like a lot of people liked it.
On the other hand, I'm not sure who ever uses the robot effect.

Re-add "Echo" Sound Effect
Support. I used this sometimes, for making sound effects.
I don't know why they would remove it, it's not like it's the straw that broke the camel's back, like “oh there are 13 buttons” but then if they add it back, new Scratchers will have a heart attack because there's one more effect. If they were going to remove any, why not remove more than one? One isn't going to change much. Please don't remove more XD
But yeah, I see no reasonable cause for this to be removed. I don't think one more button would overwhelm Scratchers.
